What an experience! Went there for a birthday dinner and Meneer Guy made it an unforgettable experience.
The foods were amazing but his knowledge about food, beer, local area were absolutely unparalleled.
His beer pairing is not to be missed even of you don't like beer, and definitely mandatory if you like beer.
A single bottle of beer may set you back €15 or more, but well worth it.
Made the birthday dinner special and thoroughly enjoyable.

If we (me and my boyfriend) could give 10 stars for this incredible experience and food we would. Guy was a wonderful chef, host, and warm free tour guide haha! His beer pairing opened our eyes to the variety of belgian beers & he gave interesting background history pieces about how they were produced. I think to come across a guy who loves his hometown & what his business is about is truly rare and inspiring. At the end of the night, he even gave us recommendations for a type of beer to try out which changed our beer games forever: geuze! Value for food/ambience/the actual taste of his food were all perfect. Thank you Guy for a great night & keep cooking!!! 🍻🧡

Don't miss out on visiting this little gem in Antwerpen. The chef designs their menus making use of local ingredients, well paired with national beers. All dishes are prepared with so much care, from conception, to taste and presentation. I had an unforgettable three-course meal, each of them accompanied by a refreshing Belgian beer, and the chef came to my table to tell me everything about what I was having. A 5-star experience with great concept, delicious food, attentive service, and well located in the town's centre. Can't wait to be back again and see what they're up to!

We were in Antwerpen for the weekend and needed somewhere to eat at short notice. We were delighted to find this lovely little restaurant, they served us a fantastic 3 course meal with some absolutely amazing beers to match. They even sped things up for us as we were going to a gig later in the evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed it, and would go back there in a flash.
Many thanks for a lovely evening meal.

The place to be for high standing beer and food pairing in Antwerp. Delicious menu with meals designed by the owner. All meals are inspired by the beer. Also good use of beer in the meals. Casual and cosy atmosphere for such a high standing gastronomy. We felt very welcome. The owner knows his stuff and is very friendly!
Highly recommended. Will visit again!
Small, hidden gem with a chef, who takes his time to personally explain the whole menu to each and every guest. There were excellent recommendations on what local craft beer fits best with each dish.
The dishes themselves were beautifully prepared and perfectly cooked.
We will definitely come back during our next stay in Antwerpen.

What an amazing experience. You'll be hard pressed finding a team that is more dedicated and passionate about local ingredients, great flavour and terrific beer pairings. We had a wonderfully intimate evening. Thank you so much; we'll definitely come back on our next stopover in Antwerpen.

Great, small menu in a cozy little restaurant with delicious dishes, only made with local products. The waitress was kind, explained the menu by length and gave advice for beer pairing.
Incredible food and such friendly owners. It does take a while for meals to arrive, but all of the dishes are beautiful. They use organic and locally sourced food, which is a bonus too. Lovingly prepared food, definitely a hidden tresure of Antwerp!

As a inhabitant of Antwerp and foodie/former chef working experience in exclusive restaurants& hôtels international, I like to tryout as many restaurants as I can. Most of them we tryout twice.
This evening we tried this small restauran 'Belgian cuisine'. A friendly young lady welcomed us in. It was pretty hot inside. Too hot but we were starving. The Chef and owner was cooking in the open kitchen. It was fully booked but luckily we got a nice table next to the kitchen. Setup is nice. Space enough between the tables.
The young lady came with a board with specials.
The chef told us he had also some leftover 'Belgian stoofvlees' from the lunch. Served with a crémeux of.. No French fries unfortunately.
Ordering a diet soda wasn't possible either. The day special came with a special beer brew.
Well.. We were blown away.. Not because the Belgian stew dish was so good but.. It was a disgrace to serve this food. Belgian stew totally dried out, like it was made days ago and left standing in the pot.
No nice Belgian stew soft meat prepared with beer in a nice sauce.
The 'crémeux' was even as bad with sand scratching our teeth. Than the cauliflower..maybe most tasting of the dish but still pretty tasteless. Also dried out. The special beer served as a pairing with the dish..Didn't fit in our opinion. Bit smoky taste that doesn't fit at all! No thanks.
There was only one positive thing about this visit that was the personnel was friendly though.
But how can a chef patron serve this classic Belgian dish of food so badly prepared? And serve it to customers?
After reading some reviews online.. Positive reviews? Raising the question did those customers eat at the same restaurant?
We paid the very overpriced 85E bill and just left. Leaving a bad taste in our culinary memory. No sorry not worth a second visit. We agreed both this culinary experience belongs in our 'top 10 worst culinary experience ever'.
