The waitress was amazing and super sweet she did everything right! The food…. You get better food at an elementary school cafeteria which is none of the employees fault.. they cook what they are given. The ketchup is brown (still good from what we were told) but not comforting to see. Was definitely not worth the 40$ after tip. We were seated immediately for “Date Night”. For someone who doesn't typically dine out, for health reasons, it took about 45 minutes from seating, to receive our food. However, Ms. Emma, our waitress was EXCELLENT! My husband’s whole flounder; cooked to perfection! My perch was also cooked to perfection! Baked potatoes were overcooked but still eatable. Okra was seasoned and cooked well too! Hushpuppies, oh, gosh! Delicious!!! And last, Emma made our Arnold Palmers on point for each refill! I was pleasantly surprised. Have not been here in a while. Food was good, broiled seafood platter. Katlyn my waitress was the best I have had in a long time. Besides the food, she was outstanding, and although they were a little busy, she was very attentive. Will definitely start going more often. Update 32123. I eat here once every weekend. Today however when I ordered, (always a broiled platter) and always good with salad and side, a good bang for your buck. But I got scallops which I did not order but was charged for as an extra. Not happy about that, did not say anything but will be more aware in the future. We had a group of about 40. Had to wait wait wait. We had reservations, however, the manager did not schedule sufficient employees to cover this group. I really felt sorry for the waitress. Dinner start to finish took 2 hrs. I only order flounder and baby shrimp which was tasty, but not worth the wait. Manager needs training on how to properly prepare and handle large groups. BTW, was there a manager even on premises? It was all I could do to not get up and help this poor waitress! Everything was nice. I ordered the Canadian cod with French fries. The fish was good. The batter, however, still had a flour texture to it, like it was not cooked at the proper temperature or the correct amount of time. The service was exceptional. Our server Morgan was Awesome. She was very attentive and made sure we were good. Also noticed she was personable by talking with other people she was serving, which shows made everyone feel welcomed like being amongst friends and family and not being known being just a guest. Stopped in for lunch. You can get most of the items boiled or fried. The small players were more than we could eat. The kids plates were huge too. I have found that the tackle box meals are a great deal for senior citizens. Variety to choose from and the price is cheaper than eating at McDonald's or any fast food place. The food is great.
