Stopped by to just a bagel and cream cheese today, as the ratings seemed to be good. Checked the website first and thought a bagel w/ cream cheese at $3.95 was reasonable so I'd give it a try. Was more than disappointed when I ordered and my order was processed as two seperate items: a bagel @ $3.95 and cream cheese at $1.85. $6+ for a bagel and cream cheese is ridiculous and also no where on the menu does it indicate that the cream cheese is an additional charge. The bagel itself was fine, I actually liked it. But to open the bagel, after seeing the charge, and then see what little amount of cream cheese was actually put on it was startling. Needless to say, I won't be back. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I got carry out lunch here. Their iced mocha lattes and veggie wraps are refreshing and helped me skip that 3pm slump of energy. There is some limited seating and the service was quick. If you’re working in the many office parks surrounding this area it’s a great spot for lunch. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Hat’s off to a great breakfast/lunch spot. The staff is always friendly and Jenny, the manager makes me feel like family. She’s polite, knows how make all the complicated coffee drinks. The food is excellent, high quality. It’s a well run business!

Laughing reading the other reviews as we, too, just had such bad bowls that we left without eating them and are also going to McDonalds like another reviewer. $46 for two bowls, a water, and an iced tea. Bowls were almost entirely dry or rotting lettuce or spinach, barely any toppings, but we tried to be nice and not complain…. until I found a piece of plastic in my bowl. Finally said something to the cashier and heard her tell the kitchen staff who we heard argue back and say that there was no problem. Never again.

Went here after seeing it had a good score on Yelp and Google but didn’t do my due diligence reading the ACTUAL reviews. I got a vegetarian breakfast bowl and added bacon….basically no bacon and mostly all spinach which wasn’t even sautéed like the menu stated. My fiancé got the southwestern burrito and even after letting it cool down, it was so hot it burned the roof of his mouth. He also wasn’t very impressed. Additionally, we got one pancake, a latte and a cold brew and it came out to $60!!!! $60 for a meal we didn’t even finish, is a scam. We went to McDonald’s after and spend $12 for something we actually asked for. As for the house fee, it was also added in very sneaky. I didn’t see any signs and I looked at the website after our terrible experience and seeing other reviews complaining about the house fee and it’s not even on the main home page. Recommendation for black bird: post it on the main page and have staff be upfront about it, so people aren’t constant complaining. People are hungry and sometimes might not look for a small sign when they’re looking at the food to order. Came for breakfast and the cashier got our order wrong. When pur food was delivered, we went back to tell that is not what we ordered. Unfortunately we were told this is what you paid for so thats what you get... The food was good, no complaints there. I would definitely give 5 stars if it was Jenny alone! She’s absolutely amazing. From the day I started coming Jenny has always been such a friendly & caring person. On the other hand, Chloe I believe is her name, I would give her a 1 star. She’s obnoxious and inappropriate (talks about things with the ones in the back she shouldn’t in front of customers) l actually avoid coming when Jenny isn’t in. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

BEWARE THE "HOUSE FEE"! Ordered a breakfast sandwich and an iced tea to go. Was told the total was around $17. While waiting for my card to be read by the contactless reader, the lady at the cashier quickly added the "House Fee" of 12% before allowing my card to be read! Was never told the new total or that there was going to be a fee added for card. There were also no signs informing us of the "House Fee"... They have a hidden 12% House Fee they add to your check. Just post the real price of food on your menu. Got a large iced tea, it cost $4, and tasted bitter. Food: 1
