I am considerably older than the staff and patrons and the only white person in the room, I felt like I might be intruding but from the moment I entered I was warmly welcomed made to feel part of the community, not an outsider. I was attracted by the music … excellent sound system played perfect music for the bright but chilly Sunday afternoon. I had local beer and the spicy chicken livers. Was a Bourdain moment! The hot sauce was from my town, New Orleans so I got a kick out of that. The gentleman on either side of me told me about their connection to the bar and to the neighborhood. I enjoyed those conversations immensely. This place will always hold a place in my heart 💜 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
