Definitely not what I was expecting. I honestly feel cheated for the price I paid for this meal. The description of the food is definitely not matching the taste no salt no pepper on grits very bland no butter as well the salmon patties are very very small and thin which is disappointing for price. The seafood platter as well .. shrimp was way over cooked it's tasted rubbery. The salmon patties are very salty. The okra was decent. The chicken and waffles was okay but had a hint taste of fish to it.....

Amazing good! I believe the name has changed - I forgot what he told me but regardless the food is out of this world!! I had the homemade Belgian waffle and I have never tasted anything so good!!! A1 all around! Will be back when I come home again! Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beyond waffles is a 10/10. The salmon Patties and grits were so good. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. I would definitely come again.

Ladies on the Lose recently visited this location. We were very pleased with our food selections. We had an opportunity to meet the owner. Everything was fresh and delicious!

Picked this place to eat because it was close to my hotel. The lady greeted us on arrival and was really nice to talk to but the food took forever to come out with 0 customers inside and our bill was $45 for that small amount of food. I don't mind eating on paper plates with plastic forks but grits, eggs, sausage, and toast shouldn't cost more than $7. The salmon pattie was so thin it barely existed. Never got any refills.

My daughter and I went in for the first time this morning to place a to go order. The owner was very helpful and friendly!! While we were waiting on our food, we were already planning what to order next time! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the NaNa's Chicken and Waffles. Yummy!!! The sauce on the chicken and the strawberry butter was amazing. My son loved the Fish and Grits. We will most definitely be going back. Great Job!! Side Note... The inside of the restaurant look great!

We sat for over an hr waiting for our food and when it came the grits was cold, my eggs were burnt (for me). The fish could have been cooked a little more. Our tea came w no ice and when we ask for some, we was told they were out of ice. My sons waffles came out 5 minutes before the rest of his food. Again, good taste but cold. My husband wings and fries were great!!!

So I really want to support black businesses in the area and was excited to try this but…. Chicken and Waffles - 1 breast cut in 2 with a very bland waffle, width some weird spicy syrup Fish and grits - grits literally tasted like burnt popcorn, parkay butter for the bread, no jelly, eggs bland, fish hard and tiny Overpriced breakfast for the quality - $30 😳 Styrofoam cup and plastic utensils Waitress has no hospitality experience Great music though. I hope this business takes into consideration hiring an experienced and accredited chef and upgrading their customer experience. Best of luck!

Baaaby! Don’t come to Charleston and not eat here! The chicken and waffles, and the fish and grits are off the chain!!! Amazing taste and great value, and service is awesome too. Hubby and I really enjoyed our visit!

OMG, I really love this place. Not only the food is so good, but the environment inside is so clean and warming. I really love the chicken wings with a special sauce added to it and the waffles is sweet and tasty, oh yes they have really good sweet tea. I'm going to go as much as I can and try something different every time. I grade Beyond Waffles with a grade A+ Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30
