This lovely small restaurant is located in a quiet street in the capital city. The menu is great and food was really tasty. The meatballs were exceptional ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere was great not noisy and lightning not so bright. The place is small so not dog friendly unfortunately but we managed to find sitters. We will definitely try to revisit when in Malta. -A suggestion for the pasta dish is to provide a knife too as the pasta size was big to eat with just a fork. Fantastic place! In September 2023, I was looking for a restaurant to organize a dinner for the guests after the wedding in Valletta. The contact with the owner was fantastic. The owner and staff prepared a separate room for us and prepared decorations. The food was delicious! Amazing wine. Wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely come back to this restaurant. Small but mighty! This family run (father and his 2 sons) restaurant is delicious. It’s more than delicious, it’s awesome, great, fantastic…I can go on. Hard to get secure a restaurant as many locals have standing weekly reservations for this 50 max restaurant. The full sleeve tatted Dad is the chef and he does not look like he has 2 grown sons. The eldest son works the front of house and he was my dining companion that evening. He and I talked about my time in Malta which quickly moved to the topic of wine. As we talked about our favorites and flavor profiles, he then proceeded to walk me through his insane wine collection of wines from all over the world. The menu is solid with standards but I immediately honed in on the specials. Lobster with linguine and calamari fritti. I had my choice of lobster the regular kind or the clawless slipper lobster. I never saw this prehistoric looking lobster before so I had to try it. As an amuse bouche, they presented me with caponata on local bread. This was pure magic. The tomatoes and whatever spice mixture they conjured up was a flavor bomb in my mouth. The local bread is INSANE and I immediately thought of Erskine Shoulars because he always likes a good bread. Crunchy crust, but not too hard where you have to “pull it” and damn near prevent yourself from hitting the nearest person. The center was soft but not too chewy where it almost melted in your mouth. Maybe 3 chews needed. The calamari fritti was just as good. The nearly there coating let the true taste of the calamari shine. It was the perfect starter. The main entree was epic. The sauce was made from stock of the shells, finished with butter and a few cherry tomatoes. DELICIOUS! The lobster meat was insanely sweet and plentiful, so plentiful I didn’t miss having the meat from the claws. This is THE SPOT and should return with Jack, this restaurant will be on the must eat list. So, if you ever find yourself in Valletta head over to BEATI PAOLI Restaurant, you won’t regret it. We found this little gem on our last day in Malta and wish we found it before. The chef introduced himself to us when we booked a table and greeted us in the evening again. Each dish was very flavorful and great. We had a table downstairs and we were lucky to see the chef in action. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very intimate. We ordered the grilled aubergine and fritters with beef and Maltese sausage for starters. If you're looking to have a rabbit, this place cooked it perfectly falling off the bone. We also shared the Veal T Bone Steak and they had a special pasta dish with Maltese Sausage. We also treated ourselves to dessert and it was very delightful. It was a shame this was our last night in Malta and we would have wanted to try more dishes and would definitely recommend it to any one. This is rather cosy restaurant - several tables at the most. There is underground section, so it is good to ask about the table, if you don’t see a free one upon entering. In addition to menu products I was also offered today’s offering, which was selection of different seafood, at that time. The service was very polite, and also chatty, but in the nice way. We had conversation about business, food and Malta. Food was excellent - I’ve ordered rabbit, wine and cake for dessert. Next time I’m in Malta I’ll probably visit again. We have dinned twice in this family owned restaurant and it did NOT disappoint. The food taste and quality is amazing. Also, the staff are friendly and attentive. If you are visiting Malta you should not miss this place, however book it in advance as it is usually booked out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
