Situated just 1 min from the beach, Baltas Ruonis offers a surprisingly delightful dining experience complemented by mesmerizing sea views. With outdoor seating, it's the perfect spot to soak in the sights and sounds of the waves crashing ashore. The food does not disappoint either. The steak was flavorful and well-prepared, and the fish and chips brought that classic seaside feel to the table.
While the service was amiable, there were moments when it felt a tad slow. However, this is easily overshadowed by the surroundings. For budding surfers, the waves nearby are inviting, and the convenience of having a surfing school and rental right next door is a bonus. All in all, Baltas Ruonis stands as an ideal destination for a post-sunset dinner, where the ambiance and food come together to create memorable moments.

Nice place to sit and enjoy the view. First floor is for guests that are interesting in dining. Second floor, which offers the best view functions as a coctail bar.

We had a wonderful time here, the location is perfect. We enjoyed every meal we had. I recommend planning the visit in advance and reserving the table. The place is very busy and prepare to wait for the food.

The main advantage of this restaurant is the location! Right on the beach, great view! Strange to me - it's not a menu, all information is written on a board by the door. If you want a table inside, it is better to book in advance.

Bizzare experience.
First; Food (octopus & tuna steak) was excellent, recommend wine great, food arrived quickly and our server was super friendly and attentive.
The lack of a drinks menu is a major minus, especially as the restaurant seems to stock some nice things.
Now to the weird part;
My wife and myself arrived and was told they did not take reservations (we had planned to go to the beach before dinner and eat whenever we could get a booking) and that the expected wait was over an hour, this despite over half of the tables were empty (50-60 empty seats on ~8-10 empty tables inside and out).
Ok, no problems, we stand in line while evaluating our options.
As people in line notice that no-one is getting seated, the two groups in front of us get annoyed and leave, having already waited for quite some time. (~8ppl in total)
After a while we again asked if we possibly could have one of the empty, clean tables, (maybe we missunderstood something? (we do not speak Lithuanian)), and this time get a yes (~10-15min after being told to expect a 1h+ wait)
The only foodmenu is printed on a surfboard at the entrance and our waiter is eager to get food orders in quickly before drinks. (Fair, maybe he knows kitchen is slow and want to work around it?)
We are then told there is no drinks menu, but are recommended a vino verde that turns out great. Strange, as this process slows down the ordering process, as well as decreases sales?
After a little wait both food and wine appears, food surprisingly quickly.
The whole meal is well presented, taste great and we order more drinks and enjoy the sunset.
Our entire meal wait staff strolls around at a leisurely pace, while the line outside grows and shrinks as people give up and new arrive to que, meanwhile the restaurant remains under 50% full, sometimes almost empty, and still, almost no-one is getting seated??
The situation is so bizzare that most patrons seated look around confused, trying to make sense of the now outright comical situation.
At the very end of our ~3h visit two larger groups with apparent reservations arrived, potentially explaining some of the empty seats, but not nearly enough to explain the several hours of so many empty chairs and disgruntled potential clients.
All in all, we saw A LOT of very annoyed people, but our own visit was super, if only very puzzling.

Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food- tuna steak is a must, all pizzas are delicious, fish and chips not my favorite. They even hav mussels- quite nice. Polite staff. But if you want to have a good time and experience - you must book the table in advance because it is very very busy place. If you don’t have a reservation- prepare your nerves to wait in a long queue.

Amazing location, restaurant is placed basically on the beach ⛱️. It looks cool from the outside, all bright red. The atmosphere is brilliant there, chill beach vibes with beautiful sea views.
Food was nice, but after long long wait for our fish and chips to come out, it was not as exciting as it should be. Chips are not chips, but potato wedges, mushy peas are only one tea spoon on some lettuce leaves, instead of a nice solid spoon. Falafels were bland and definitely did not taste like falafel, and I have tasted them in most European countries. ( Paris falafel street makes them right, Sweden has few places with great ones too.)
Well service left us much desired too. First girl tried to be nice, but after we asked to change the table, because we didn't want to sit in front of the toilets, she never came back to our table. Other ones did take our order and eventually brought our food to us, but that's about it.
So I'll give a good rating only because of the location.
