If you feel like a great vibe and amazing food then Back’s is the place to be. I had the Beetroot crust pizza with extra avo and I must say it’s the best pizza I EVER had!!!! I absolutely loved the crunch on the pizza, the amazing freshness complimented with roasted seeds, balsamic vinegar, the pickled veg, pitted calamata olives, cherry tomatoes and 4 different fareview cheese. Man, I am salivating right now. It feels like a food high. Backs, thank you for your amazing quality in food, you never disappoint! Your service is immaculate and cleanliness is top notch. I love visiting😇

Back's Deli & Restaurant at Pearl Valley Hotel is a gem of a venue. Their staff member, Felicity van Rooyen is a most welcoming, fun staff member. Their young chef, Ruan Turner, comes up with thé most delectable, daily chef's specialities. The Deli/Restaurant is only a short gentle stroll away from the hotel rooms. The Deli stock fresh farm produce from fruit to an array of local cheeses, yogurt, homemade ice cream and organic meat. The variety of freshly baked crusty breads and pasties are most/too tempting. Back's at Pearl Valley Hotel is next to sparkling pools from where 'pool-platters' could be ordered. Covid social distancing is managed with ease with the tables on the outdoor veranda.

Perfect lunch on a gloomy, stormy Monday. As always, food was delicious. A little fireplace creates a cozy ambiance. Felicity and Juandre are professional and very attentive. They treated us like family. Thank you. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 200–250

On behalf of my husband and I, we would like to thank the team at Back deli / cafe for looking after us and the 27 wedding quests over our wedding weekend - December 2022 the breakfast and lunch was delicious, very clean, the service was always fast and the staff very friendly, the manageress was always on top of everything with a smile. we could not find anything out of order. the platers and drinks around the pool was always great. Highly recommended. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 100–150

Enjoyable dinner menu presented by a great host. Food & wine top marks. The packed up breakfasts which included the beetroot smoothy, Turkish delight & stoggy bacon & egg roll we had delivered to our rooms for our early starts were left in our fridge. Orange juice & a plain ham sandwich would have been more to our taste. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Back's Deli & Restaurant at Pearl Valley Hotel is an incredible intimate little spot to grab a bite. Felicity is the warmest host and takes such good care of everyone who steps inside. Their chef prepared the most delicious meals and all the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. We have two small children as well and they were most accommodating to their needs as well. Will recommend this little gem to anyone visiting Paarl.

Good food in a nice setting although the service is hit and miss. We were the only table in when we visited, they got 4/6 starters wrong so we had to wait an additional 15mins for them to fix it. No apology just a “ah we will sort that right now”. Not really good enough when there is nobody else there. Perhaps it was a one off. We had little children with us which meant the wait spoilt our meal as the kids had finished and wanted to go off and play.

What a great restaurant! Great vibe and excellent food! Surprisingly affordable for such an upmarket venue. Highly recommend this place, thank you to Leatitia and Felicity for the great service all day round.
