In spite of what the name of the restaurant says it's not all "authentic". The menu has some local turkish dishes but lacks the complete authentic turkish layout.
Me and my wife went twice to eat there the food was overall good and it has a decent selection pfizer drinks (albeit with a lot of vulgar names).
A big plus for a very good hookah with strawberry sisha.
The food was not bad but not super good either. The prices were good compared to the area but the staff was weird. Made faces at eachother when we ordered juices instead of cocktails and lurked right behind us for the first half of the meal. Rooftop view was pretty

We had a surprise party for my other half here, a group of 9 people, we were made to feel very special. The food was really tasty and very well presented. We were treated to fireworks and even a cake that they had made and brought out for us after our meal. We stayed and had cocktails and tried the sheesha pipe after dinner, it was a veru fun yet relaxed night. Cant thank the staff here enough.
Apparently waiting over an hour for food is "normal" at this restaurant. Food may be average at best but having terrible service is guaranteed, based on the way we were dealt with.
Don't get sucked in by the employee outside selling dreams about how great the food is. There are better restaurants close by...

We came here for drinks and the waiting staff were brilliant, hilarious, accomodating and got us up for a Turkish dance. Quite pricey for drinks but a very fun evening.
It seems like I'm in the minority in my feelings towards this restaurant, but let me explain why only 2 stars.
Firstly, the bar downstairs is excellent. If we had stayed in the bar and not eaten, then I would have pribably given 4 stars., the problem for me was the restaurant. If you haven't eaten in Kalkan and this was your first dinner in the area, then it is an OK dining experience, but if you have experienced Kalkan and you know how great the service and food experience is, then you might be disappointed. Maybe we just got a bad day, but we made our way around the corner for wine and pudding.
