We absolutely LOVED eating at Austa - we had dinner with cocktails and wine. We wanted to try many different things on the menu from the fish, to the meat, to veggies plates. Everything was incredibly delicious. We enjoyed every single bite and sip and we can’t wait to go back already! The service and settings / surroundings were also perfect :) and our little one also enjoyed the entire dining experience!

If Austa doesn’t make the new edition of the Michelin Guide Portugal I’d be surprised and also upset.
Originally going for quick lunch. We stayed for two hours enjoying the setting, atmosphere and most importantly the food. Exquisite. Matched with impeccable service.
The food was small plate style with a light lunch selection for fit every taste bud. This led to a dinner booking. The atmosphere only got better. The music choice was awesome while not being intrusive. The hosting was second to none. The owners knowledge of every single wine, spirit, drink on offer was mind blowing. The food served to table was not only gorgeous looking but had the taste buds on overdrive.
Everything was so clearly thought over. Chairs were super comfortable and even the loos were beautiful!! (Also clean enough to do surgery in).
We are UK based and would plan a weekend trip to Portugal to eat here. Take your time. Enjoy every dish. All locally sourced all with a story.

We loved this restaurant so much we came back less than 2 weeks later. The staff is super friendly — they remembered and greeted us warmly. The food is incredible, all seasonal and locally sourced. We ordered the pumpkin, tuna and shrimp starters and pork neck mains — so tender and good. They accommodated our gluten free and dairy intolerance. We’ll be back and we’re sure to tell all our friends.

This is a new favourite for me. Each dish was incredible and the flavours were like no other. I loved that the produce were all either grown on site or sourced locally. You can tell the owners are extremely passionate about what they are doing. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and relaxed and the service was excellent. The vibe is very different from your usual restaurants around the Almancil/Quinta area and it wouldn’t be out of place somewhere like Lisbon. I cannot wait to go back

I have found the BEST restaurant in the Algarve if not maybe Portugal. From the design to the staff to the food to the love, it is absolutely perfect 20 stars, just go don’t think about it, just go. This will become a truly marked spot in the pantheon of greats.

Wow, hands down one of my favourite restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. We started by going for lunch on their newly opened stunning terrace. The setting is just so beautiful, their gardens are so peaceful it was so relaxing it felt like a real hidden gem! I was so impressed by their attention to detail which would also become evident throughout the meal as well. The lovely owners David and Emma are so knowledgeable about local Portugese food we were blown away by the effort they had gone to to source the best artisanal produce which was so clear in the menu and dishes we had. (The team even blind tasted their olive oil which was the best I have ever tasted!) We had such delicious food at lunch we wanted to come back and try the dinner dishes during our trip and felt very lucky that we managed to get a dinner reservation to go back! Dinner was also an incredible and very different experience. The wine list was mind blowing and David was so lovely and talked us through each of the wines that paired well with certain dishes that also worked with our preferred tastes. We tried most of the dishes on the menu and could not fault a single thing. We got to try brand new flavours, like the Portugese dish of Xérem that was so delicious I would go back just for that! The lamb belly was prepared so beautifully I have never had that cut and was surprised at how tender and flavourful it was. We are planning our next trip already and can't wait to go back. We felt so well looked after it was truly such a special experience.

Highly recommend this place to those who are provenance-conscious! We enjoyed a delicious 2-hour lunch that showcased the very best ingredients the region has to offer. The dishes were served in a well-designed environment by a team who were kind, passionate and welcoming.
P.S. Don’t pass on the olive oil lemonade… It was a revelation!

What a restaurant!! Absolutely beautiful and the food and wine is stunning. An amazing addition to the local area, such a well thought through menu and the staff were wonderful too. Well worth a walk around the vegetable garden which is gorgeous. Will definitely be back - loved it!

Wow! Incredible food, drinks and service! Our favourite meal during our trip to QDL. The setting is simply stunning, overlooking the beautiful gardens.
To start, I had the red pepper cocktail which was easily the best cocktail I have ever had in my life. We then ordered multiple dishes, of which all were amazing, though I especially enjoyed the ajo blanco prawns and lamb. Super fresh and cooked to perfection.
The wine was recommended by David who was on hand to provide us with the history and story behind the bottle. I love the fact that the owners have made such an effort to understand each aspect of the menu, it’s clear there has been a lot of research and time spent deciding on the best produce and drinks to compliment the season.
It was also so lovely chatting to the team, Emma and David. It felt incredibly relaxed and was the perfect first night of our trip. Obviously I ended it with another red pepper cocktail and I am dreaming of my next one…!! Can’t wait to revisit next time.
