This restaurant has only outdoor seating next to the diamond club pool which is kinda noisy during lunch time. They have some fans to cool it down. Food is above my expectation. The starter of chips and salsa was good and a little bit spicy. I've never had this kind of salsa before but I liked it. Queso fundido was basically melted cheese. It would be better, if it came out hot so cheese will be gooey. BBQ salmon was good. Margarita shrimp was excellent. The slow cooked buffalo chicken sandwich was chicken fingers on buns, nothing special about it. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

You must dine here during your stay! Of all restaurants on the resort, The Armadillo came in first place for my family and I. From the service to the food, everything was amazing! We had the luxury in having Jorge as our waiter and he made our experience 10 times more enjoyable. He was very professional, personable, funny, and made our dining experience one of a kind. The food was extremely delicious, fresh, and authentic Tex-Mex. I can’t wait to come back here next time I vacation in Mexico! Muchas gracias, Jorge.

We dined here last night and it was exceptional. I ordered the lobster as I've never had it before and Ruiz came out to speak to us about our order. Him and Raul went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. I think because we had bad experience in other places on the complex they wanted to make us feel special and they certainly did. The lobster was cooked beautifully and the sides all very tasty. Thank you x Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The girl at the front desk agreed to give a terrace desk for dinner and even accepted the coupons by royalton for diamond club but when dasua showed up she is no you gotta spend 70$ atleast at the wine bottle or 150$ for the terrace table she took is personally literary other lady at the desk was ready to give the table but only coz of dasia she could not do it.very bad Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Now this place has good food unlike Agave. True, good, Mexican food which I totally enjoyed! This restourant really was one of the best in Royalton. You must come if you are staying here at Royalton!!!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Grilled Vegetable

Out of all the restaurants at the resort this one is the worst. Our first night at Royalton we came here. The kids got there food in 5 minutes, of course it was horrible and we went half the orders back. The adults waited an hour. So once the kids were finished they were bored and restless for a very long time. On New Years all restaurants were booked except surprise surprise this one. We went back and had the same experience. I loved the royalton and I thought everything else was great, but the armadillo is a bust.

Average food and extensive wait times. Took 15 minutes to get us seated for our reservations. Took a full hour and a half before our entrees arrived. All in all, out in 2 and a half hours.
