My wife and I dropped in for lunch. Cute place that really pushes the "diner" vibe. It has a limited menu but frankly, I think this is wise as they can concentrate on doing a few things well. We both had the basic hot dog that comes with curly fries. The presentation was neat - the hot dog is partially split lengthwise and then dressed with lines of ketchup, mustard and mayo. Relish is under the hot dog. My wife and I thought the hot dog was tasty but we agreed that the bun was a bit too big for the dog. Personally I would have preferred no mayo but it was good as served. If you prefer to dress your own dog, I'd ask about it when you order. Fries were crispy and tasty. Service was very attentive! I'd certainly recommend American Diner for a simple tasty lunch.
