We had to wait some time but worth it. Nice crispy tempura and tasty skewers. I had the grilled eel on rice. Near mount Fuji, I had noticed that dishes usually come up a bit more salted than in other parts of Japan. 100% recommended. Staff quite effective and welcoming. Great value. Top rated restaurant in kawaguchiko. I highly recommend the chicken casserole, the soup is full of flavour and the chicken is very fresh. Dining at Amano Japanese Restaurant near Lake Kawaguchi in Japan was an unforgettable experience. The eel rice here was exceptionally delicious, far exceeding my expectations. The texture and flavor of the eel were just perfect, making each bite memorable. Additionally, the chicken hot pot was a perfect choice for the cold weather, offering a comforting and tasty treat that felt like home.The staff at the restaurant were highly professional and friendly, which made the dining experience even more pleasant. Incredible attention to details that leads to great experience. The torinabe soup was absolutely incredible and we loved the meatballs appetizer. The line was very long (I think we waited almost 2 hours) but it's tourist season and there's a line everywhere, so I think it's still worth it. One of the best meals we’ve had at Kawaguichiko. Echoing the other comments, food and service at Amano were exceptional. We had the unagi don and pork katsu. Unagi was grilled perfectly, and pork katsu had a good level of fat. Sake was fantastic as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Arrived at 5.30pm and queued for 30mins on a weekday. Food was delicious, especially the tempura. However, sauce for tempura rice bowl was pour over the tempura resulting it to be soggy. Advisable to ask the staff to not pour the sauce over the tempura. Otherwise, would still recommend. This place deserves thousands of reviews. From kindness and impeccable customer service to insanely delicious food, this place is a must. The miso soup is one of the best miso soups we’ve had throughout the world. The tempura is amazing, the chicken skewers were delicious. The vibe is super chill and Japanese traditional.
