Unfortunately we were quite shocked by the food offered at this place. Photos shared by other reviewers were certainly not meeting our experience as you can see on the attached picture (eggs for 150$). Service took a long time to prepare our order even though we were the only ones there. They prepared hot cappuccino instead of cold and the food was simply disappointing on the level of hotel breakfast that we skipped to visit this place. Atmosphere and cold brew was good. That’s why it’s 2/5 stars experience. Very unfortunate because this place has potential. Price per person $400–500 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
We had an amazing experience with everyone! Our first night on the island we walked to the beach and a gentleman walked up to us asking if we wanted a free sample of cold brew and we said “of course” but a little hesitant, we then got to talking more and more. He told us to come see behind the scenes of the coffee, and invited us to come to the coffee house. All of the gentleman there were so kind and very knowledgeable. The coffee and food is 1000/10 highly recommend. The chef is so amazing and intricate with the dishes he creates, so much flavor and balance. We bought one kilo of coffee beans and a smaller bag of coffee and some cocoa beans. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $100–200

We met Jose on the beach and he offered us a roasted Cocao bean with our cup of cold brew. We were hooked! Later we walked to Alta Nota Jazz Coffee Roasters to see where the magic happens. Jose was so gracious and gave us a tour, showed us the roaster he designed, provided education about coffee beans and shared info about each type of coffee he sells. We are so impressed with Alta Nota. Jose is such a talented man and amazing human! Go visit Alta Nota Jazz Coffee Roasters, relax, enjoy the company and make memories!

Love and attention. That's what you’ll taste in the coffee brewed especially for you and the freshly prepared meals at Alta Nota. The owner clearly has a passion for coffee and his business, which shows immediately upon entering. Let yourself be taken through a full coffee experience - from choosing beans to the disappointment of your last sip (shall we order another?!) and take time to appreciate the pleasant atmosphere. In our opinion, Alta offers the best coffee on the island (and we really did try them all!). We will definitely come back. P.S. Don't miss the cocoa treats and the portobello is amazing!
The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the coffees he roasts in house. He features single-origin beans grown by farmers around Mexico. The natural we tried was juicy with notes of cacao and stone fruit. He served it with a delicious candied cacao nib that his wife made. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Check your bill, random dishes were over priced compared to the menu. The coffee was incredibly bitter and our avocado toast was served with boiled carrots and cauliflower. An utterly preposterous meal
100 pesos for one espresso is really overpriced. We had amazing espressos on the island for half the price. I don't think it's worth it. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
This new place is an absolute gem! José, the owner, is as nerdy and passionate about his coffee as it gets. I imagine that he can talk forever about this ‘religious’ topic. However, don’t expect your classic cappuccino or latte. Instead, you will experience true coffee and its real flavors. On top of a wonderful Chemex brewed coffee, they service a lovely breakfast worth every penny! Go here for a great way to support local enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. Gracias José! 🙏🏽🇲🇽 Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $200–300

Had our best cold brew-mezcal-infused coffee here. We came the next day again just because the coffee and the food were so tasty. The owner and the guys working there were the nicest and we learned so much about coffee and how to appreciate it more. We totally recommend this place, would come here everytime again! If you are looking for a nice gift that speaks about Mexico, you can buy here the Mezcal-coffee and the cacao-beans (made by them). Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast

We went in for coffee and breakfast but were greeted by so much more. You can choose from over a dozen roasts and four brewing methods with the owner sharing the story behind their coffee beans and process, and prepping the brews while explaining each step and it's importance. The avocado toast coupled with a chemex coffee is your best bet to start your day. Payment by card accepted.
