Changed a lot since the franchise took over running the place. Previous people did a stellar job. The pies are still good but buying them warmed up in the microwave just doesnt work. A pity it has gone backwards as we went there weekly.

New black owners... Used to go there and grab a wide variety of pies and cookies and a freshly baked pie for the road, all with best service. Now prices are up, no crafted cookies and other nice treats, no freshly baked pies and the selection is poor. Another business down the tubes, rather just close shop, wont see me again.

Disgusting Soggy Pies sold in store!Ready baked in packets then in a pie warmer....Freshly baked pies from other stockists of these pies great but this is giving Country Pies a bad name

Their pies are always tasty and fresh. You get the option of getting a warm, ready to eat pie or from the fridge to marm up and eat at home.

Brilliant 👏. Great atmosphere very friendly staff. Cappuccino is first class as is the food , spent a great afternoon enjoying the no rush don't worry about time ,time doesn't worry about you . Will be going back soon soon . It's worth the trip from the other side of the M 2 East Freeway. Well I'm back for round No 2 . The shop MILKY BAR AND THE COUNTRY PIE SHOP are open on a Sunday from 08 :00 - 1300 . Still the best for munchies or just a Cappuccino.

Hey, if you want some of THE best pies in town, head on over to Alberton Country Pies. You won't be sorry and your taste buds will be begging for more. Whether you are hungry and buying one to eat on the spot or buying a box of frozen pies to take home and make later, the selection is quite large and sure to make even the 'fussiest' of people happy.

They were reasonable with the prices but nowadays it is getting expensive. Not that easy to support local business with prices that is more expensive than a big supermarket

Went there on a Sunday, friendly welcoming owners, good pies, value for money and there is diner looking milkshake bar next door. Got the 4xbudget pie special for R38 for take away. Going to make this a routine every Sunday. 😋👍

Pies were always great but today they sold microwaved pies that were all soggy and gross. They might as well close the shop if they don't want to sell decent pies.
