We enjoyed a really lovely Sunday evening dinner here thanks to a generous gift card from a family member. We made reservations the same day originally for the heated patio but it was cooler than we realized when we arrived and luckily the restaurant was able to move us inside, which we really appreciated. As a vegetarian, I found plenty of menu options to enjoy, and my husband, found his selections to be well flavored but not overly spicy for his mild palette. We enjoyed various drinks from the bar including the frozen espresso martini, my husband's only complaint was that they wouldn't make a standard espresso martini, which is really what he wanted. The space is quite lively with various outdoor and indoor areas, we can't wait to come back and enjoy the expansive patio during warmer months. Although our food was enjoyable (we enjoyed leftovers for dinner again Monday!), the real star of the show here was the wonderful service we received from our server, Mike. He absolutely made this a five-star dining experience for us, we look forward to returning to try more of the menu in the future. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Have been eager to try this place and it did not disappoint. Had a reservation and were promptly seated in the indoor/outdoor tent out back. Heaters at each table helped to keep us comfortable and shunning our puffers as we sat. Started with two cocktails off the menu - great. Got the carrot dip - incredible, and advisable perhaps over a more typical hummus. Brussels, ribs, lamb croquette, oysters, and chicken kebab were all absolutely incredible. Sauces, herbs, all on point. Perfect slice, nice char. Intentionality is what comes to mind to describe it all. No notes. Gracie our server was helpful and pleasant. Can’t wait to come back. Firs time visiting this hidden gem tucked in the middle of a neighborhood near 5 Points, Raleigh. The place has a very cool vibe, and almost all the dishes we tried were super. A nice blend of middle eastern flavors prepared with western technics. Will definitely go back for more. The drinks prepared by the bar well also well executed. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very good time here. All services were excellent. Food was delicious and artistically prepared and presented. You must order extra bread, we ordered more twice. One star down for the coffee. Very bitter roast is used, I mean make a twisted face bitter. Beer selection is limited but their choice of a Trophy Brewing IPA - Trophy Wife is great. Nice place in the growing number Raleigh eateries. We will return but won't order Espresso to top off desert. Their menu is very well labeled for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. As someone who is gluten free and vegan, I had quite a few options in most categories. The dips and starters were both phenomenal and had extremely diverse flavor profiles. The bartenders were wonderful with the drink choices and the craft cocktails were certainly worth checking out. We will definitely be back again as this is one of our new favorite places in the area. Awesome find! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Coming into this experience, I had high hopes. James Beard Semi-finalists for a best new restaurant? Intriguing, I thought! My wife and I ordered the lamb croquettes, pickles, hummus, winter salad, squash dip, spare ribs and trout. Lamb croquettes were okay, pickles were delish. I was particularly fond of the pickled daikons. Hummus and squash dip were mediocre. The dips didn’t have much flavor to them. Also, not enough bread was provided to finish the dips. $4 extra per piece of bread. Winter salad was exceptionally aciditic/ sour. Spare ribs and trout were both dissappointing to say the least. Both dishes were incredibly aciditic and left my palate absolutely wrecked. A common occurance among the dishes, were a disregard for balance and subtleity among flavor profiles. The acid on many dishes left your palate….in pain. My wife and I expected better flavor composition from a James Beard semi-finialist. This meal made us rethink what James Beard awards means. Do they hand hand awards based on low set standards that don’t take into account flavor balance? Is the American dining scene so far removed from worldly standards that James Beard gives nods to menus to are mildly inventive/ forward thinking? We left the meal in profound disappointment, not only in food itself, but also in the meaning of what a James Beard award is suppose to represent. To note, our server asked how the meal was. We kindly told him the honest truth, that the acid/sourness over arched every flavor on the dishes we had. By that time, my tongue was coated in such unpleasantry sourness, I could hardly get a word out. He didn’t apologize for our lack luster dining experience. He simply got us our bill and kindly thanked us for coming in. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Had a girls night a few weeks ago on the patio and it was amazing! Service was great and helped us make decisions on what to try because we wanted to try it all. Our favorite dish was definitely dessert, still having dreams about the mango & saffron posset. The drinks were also delicious and stuffed summer squash was a big hit. Can’t wait to go back and try more seasonal dishes in the future. A restaurant owner I know turned me onto this place, this guy is picky so I had to give it a try. First, you’re probably not gonna accidentally find this place unless you’re looking to buy a house on the block. It’s off the main road and doesn’t look like much from the front. However when you find your way to the entrance at the back you pass by a cute 4 season enclosed patio. The inside decor is colorful without being bright and it’s all very clean. Service is friendly. We got our first bites a bit before our drinks which is not my favorite way of doing things but every bite and sip was great. The food we had was all heavily seasoned in a way that stands out from other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to but it was all well balanced without any one particular spice standing out except maybe the dill in the Toor Whip. What we ordered: Sakura Old Fashioned Corpse Reviver #2 Brussels… Lamb Croquettes Toor Whip Smashed Cucumbers Spareribs Whole fried trout Again, everything was great. The Whole Trout stands out because of how moist and well seasoned it was. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
