In Raub, Ah Tok used to be the place to go for cheap western food. That was before Raub has seen many cafes opening doors in recent years. My recent visit was an unplanned one because I felt hungry on my way back to my hometown and it was already dinner time when I passed by Raub. Not sure what to eat but definitely don't want to go to the usual suspects, I remember this place which I have not come back in years. Do take note that as long as you do not expect impeccable service here , everything will be just fine. Their strength is definitely the western food - case in point my black pepper chicken chop which was definitely old school style. The black pepper was just nice without being too diluted nor spicy, just like how they did it in the past. Beautifully grilled thigh meat doused in the sauce with salad and fried egg on the side (they give fries but I requested to omit it), the dinner was satisfactory. They have been in business for as long as I remember. What used to be a shack, they have now a proper restaurant space where one can dine comfortably. But I really miss the good ol' days where everyone just dined there alfresco.

I went there with my family of 6 adults and 2 children. The food was quite nice, unfortunely for us the person taking our orders was pretty rude and cold. Even when asking for suggestion or options, she would sigh and say dont have. Sadly nice food and good location came with horrible service. Otherwise enjoyed the food. The western food was just so-so and it was overpriced imo. RM23 for a hainanese chicken chop thats not seasoned well, over battered and over fried. The chips are not crispy as they should, oily and soggy. Sauce is okay. Outdated menu prices. Wrote RM7 for watermelon juice and tried charging us RM8 while paying. Didn't even correct it while we were ordering. Asked for sugar-free watermelon juice yet still tasted fake. Not recommend for western food. It's located beside a busy street so not recommended to sit outdoors, its noisy and customers smoke too. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Food is ok. Chicken chop ok, grill fish ok. Not cheap though. Chicken chop rm17-19. Talapia fish rm40/kg.
The Hainanese Chicken Chop is crispy and the gravy tantalizing. However the price is on the high side.
Very bad service. Ordered tomato sauce chicken but gave me black pepper and forced me to accept it. And the other chicken chop is still raw inside. They just used microwave to heat it again. I refused to accept it but he lady boss charged me RM10 for the chicken chop.

Food is ok. But the service is bad. We were the first at the restaurant at 610pm to pack some vegetables and noodles. Waited more than 1 hour for the food. Guests came after us were served and left the premise. Not recommended if you can't wait.
We have waited almost 15min there is no one served us. When we went in the shop, there is a boy playing video game n just went in to the kitchen without approching us.
