Was in the area and wanted to try something different and I must say....VERY DELICIOUS 😋 The flavors were definitely on point. My favorite was the Seafood okra with steamed fish along with the fufu. Stop by and give it a try !! I will be going back for more 😋
I was craving FuFu so bad and this place did not disappoint. It's simple you call in your order and they deliver it to you and the elementary school parking lot. It was an interesting technique but it was worth it. We will definitely order from here again. Having a Nigerian American husband that gave two thumbs up on the food was all the co sign that I needed.
OoohhhMyGoodness where do I begin. The FOOD...the flavors were so well balanced it was insane! The SERVICE was OUTSTANDING...the cook was very kind. The ATMOSPHERE was very clean and inviting. I really like the simplicity of the decor. The colors went together well and the decor was simple yet VERRRRRY nice...just my style. If I could change anything it would be that you could dine in; however, they are still a work in progress. They are working on an outdoor dining area. *the fried plantains OoohhhMyGoodness** a must have! I am excited to return with our family. When I’m in Summerville, I try to make my way to SessyK to try a new dish. I’m glad I was able to find freshly made authentic African food and that my first experience was with them. I think I’m going to try snails the next time I go. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm huge on food that feels like it was made in there native land. This cuisine is nothing short of amazing and it feels like a home cooked meal. The fried plantain is so deliciously sweet and crispy and the catfish is like a masterclass on fried fish! You can taste and appreciate the effort and love put into every bite. The Jollof rice is so comforting to the palate and gives you a sense of comfort. The Egusi has goat in it and you sop it up with the fufu. Currently they are only doing to-go orders, but it is worth it and you will savor every aspect of this food!

This is a long overdue review for the excellent service and food Sessyk's provided for a Catered Wedding. My, then, fiancé and I had been trying to find reputable West African catering in the Savannah GA area for our culturally mixed wedding, but with no luck we expanded our search to the Charleston SC area and stumbled upon Sessyks. We reached out and started an inquiry about catering and received prompt responses and information. The whole process from there on out was an absolute breeze, even though we were coordinating virtually across different states. Kevin and Sessy were the epitome of professionals throughout the whole process, and they were also gracious enough to host us at a very warmly personalized in person tasting event for the entire family in Summerville to finalize the menu selections. What we appreciated the most was their patience in dealing with the parents and their "specific" requests for menu items and changes, even when some of those requests were being made very late towards the day of the event. In addition, while the original agreement was only for a drop off service for the wedding (i.e. we would have our own separate servers), the team graciously offered to stay throughout the event to assist in making sure things went smoothly for no extra charge. It was honestly great having them at the wedding, as they were instrumental in making sure the bride and groom (myself and now wife) got a chance to eat some of the delicious food throughout the busy day. The food itself was absolutely on point, as all our guests noted. From the basic staples like Jollof Rice, Beef Suya (my personal favorite) Puff-Puff and fried Plantains, to the more specialty dishes like pounded yam, egusi stew and Moi-moi, there wasn't a single dish that wasn't a hit with our guests, and, we knew this going into the event from our experience at the tasting. They even worked to ensure myself and my wife got a chance to enjoy the delicious food in our few moments of respite from all the reception reception activities (dances, visiting tables and thanking guests, photos etc.) including saving some delicious suya for me before it ran out. For how great everything was, I'm embarrassed to only realize that we never submitted a review for such outstanding service, but it's better late than never. All in all, we can't say enough how much we appreciate the service, and we fully recommend SessyK's to anyone looking for quality Nigerian/ West African food and/or Catering in the SC/GA coastal region! 10/10, 5 stars without a doubt!!

This was my first time trying their food and they definitely DID NOT disappoint! The lady was so nice! I had the Fufu & Peanut Butter Soup with Beef. Although I hate spicy food (lol) the flavors were wonderful. If I could change anything it would be Dining in! I will definitely be returning! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
10/10!! Would 100% recommend! I've tried both the egusi and okra soup with fufu and they were both AMAZING🤤🤤 The customer service is awesome. She was patient and informative! Did I mention the food is AMAZING??!! My kids, who are very picky eaters, loved it as well. If you are looking for authentic African cuisine... look no further! You won't be disappointed!
