Incredible place, so friendly and the best fish & chips I have ever had. There is a long story here but i missed my boat, i needed the toilet, my mobile phone was out of battery and my bank card would not work... all I had was £20 in queens heads and i needed a beer.... The wonderful lady then charged my phone, set up a wifi hotspot and said £20 is too much so made me this "snack"... It is the best memory I have from my disaster of a trip back and I can not thank her enough (I never even got her name lol). Next time i visit Holland I will be going here first... great views of the boats as well, i think it might of once been an old WW2 look out bunker? We turned up just before closing time and ordered our fish and chip take away…only to find that the card machine did not accept British cards…oh NO! Two very hungry Scottish travellers. But the lovely ladies at Vispaleis said…”on the house”…could we believe our luck? What amazing hospital and kindness, thank you so much AND the kibbling and chip were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for your kindness x 10/10 😁 Service: 5

The food at Vispaleis is devine, and coupled with the very interesting view with ships and marine activity to watch and the very friendly, prompt service and the wonderful cooking, we had an extremely happy visit. We ordered the kibbeling cod fish and the calamari with chips. They came with an array of extras like corn, salad and seaweed, so delicious and varied with the fish. It was late but the chef instantly restarted the kitchen and the food was very hot and fresh.... 😋. A great place to eat, for lunch or dinner: we heartily recommend this sea side eatery Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Probably would avoid going here unless you're desperate. My parents have trouble with walking so once we were in the restaurant we had to commit to staying. Unfortunately the place was filthy, trash all over the floor and tables as they were understaffed and nobody was cleaning. There were literal bags of trash piled inside in the corner (must've been at least 6 bags full). The food was overpriced, nearly twenty euro for a very average kibbeling meal with a strange salad (that featured blueberries and seaweed?) Half of the meals were ready before the other half meaning two of us ate cold food so we could eat together. Baring in mind there is no table service so you also have to wait for ages at the counter for the food... This place screams of chaos. It's a shame because the location is great. It is a as good as it gets experience. A small team tries to do it all. Most of the time they do. I appreciate that. The plateau has a wonderful view to industrial port and never ending ships moving. Enjoy! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered the mixed fish dish (just under €30, so not cheap) as a snack between two of us. It was HUGE, The fried fish was fresh and delicious, the salad tasty and the dips that came with the dish were also good. My husband enjoyed the chips that accompanied the dish, but as I didn't have any, I'll take his word on this. Will definitely go there again when we're in that area.

Lovely place to eat. The large boats can be seen, also zwanens and occasionally a seal.

Nice fish and seafood restaurant. The nicest thing about this restaurant is the view. It's a very nice place to watch big ships.
