Nice 'beach club' at the Westbroekplas. Good food, friendly service. Good for occassional visit, and giving parties, like a wedding. Close by is a family beach with a play area for children till ca 16. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

First time in Netherlands and this restaurant was awesome. The servers were great. Great kids menus and the 2 people dinner was great price. The drinks were not as strong as I would like, but it doesn't hurt the atmosphere that the restaurant has in and outside. Our girls loved the spaghetti and they ate all of it. It's not a big portion but they usually don't eat all their food. The sauce for the spaghetti was great too. Got the appeltart for dessert and wish it was warm, but it was cold. Not sure if that's the way but it was still good. We had a great time here and only 20 minutes from were we are staying at in Netherlands. Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall a very disappointing and over priced experience. There was glass all over the floor outside (where multiple customers were walking barefooted as this restaurant is located on a small beach), and litter scattered all over the place which the wait staff seemed completely oblivious of. The toilet was not clean. The platter we received did not match the description on the menu and was, as a result, severely overpriced. It also arrived without any cutlery which was strange considering it is meant to be shared. And finally the service we received was neither friendly nor helpful. Went for the special this Wednesday, “mosselen” or Spare ribs. Both priced attractively at only Euro 15. Surprisingly low. Our party tried both and both were of pretty good quality. Portions a bit small perhaps but hey, that is perhaps to be expected for that price. Service was super friendly and fast. Nice young people. Location and setting inside is lovely. Less good: perhaps to compensate for the attractive priced main courses were really out of the ordinary high priced appetizers. The two key ones were 16 euro and 17.5. We eat out a lot, and that’s just … too high. Strange. We went for main course and desert therefore. Key desert was called crispy chocolate. This was not that good frankly, it really seemed like a pre made chocolate crispy muesli bar, with ice cream on top. Dressed up nice but the taste was also like it was a muesli bar from a wrapper. A pretty good bar from a wrapper but still. All in all, such a nice place to go to, but at times some of their food is over priced for what you get. Still a nice evening!

Fish platter for 2 was disgusting and overpriced. On the photo you can see what is included in 40 euro “deluxe fish platter” served on ugly plastic stand: 1) Thin piece of badly cooked tuna fish; 2) Tasteless mackerel; 3) Little portion of chopped salty salmon; 4) Canned tuna fish salad served as if it is fancy; 5) Small cup (100ml) of fish broth; 6) 2 shop purchased frozen krokets which they warmed up; 7) Loaf of cheap yesterday bread. Person who created this must have terrible taste. 2 stars just for the view and nice weather on that specific day, otherwise would have been 1 star. When waitress asked how I liked the food, I told that I didn't like it at all. Her response was "Oh". Please don't ask stupid questions like this if you can't provide any useful response or action. I also don't understand the role of hostess in your restaurant. It's silly and takes so much time until she guides every single person to a table. Conclusion: Don't order food here, just get some drinks and enjoy the sunny weather. The cook and the staff here are bad.

This restaurant has been one of my favourite ones for years already. The service is great and friendly, great variety on the menu. Outdoor sitting is just perfect. Lots of space on the beach and palm trees make you feel like being on holiday. There is a big parking space and nice paths to go for a walk. Great location.

This is a hidden pearl of a restaurant! We went for the first time in October - it was cold and windy yet they'd built big fires by the entrance so on arrival you already feel excited for what's inside. The interior is kind of chic meets beach... if that makes sense. We had 3 courses there. The soup was amazing, as was the main. We weren't in love with the dessert. Service was really good - it was a young person but he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable (which I appreciate coming from hospitality myself). We will definitely go back soon with friends because the atmosphere and location is such a surprise it's going to be fun to watch someone else enjoy it for the first time!
