Got two dinners. Combo and burrito. The ground beef and shredded chicken has absolutely no flavor. The stewed beef is quite good, but the ground beef and chicken was completely flavorless. Chips and salsa were good. Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The food at Tia Helita's is generally good. I often get the wet burrito with chili here, however this visit I tried the spinach enchilada with onion dinner (see photo), which comes with rice, refried beans and stewed beef. The enchiladas were good, the rice was crunchy (i.e. not good), the beans a bit runny for me and the stewed beef excellent. The chips and salsa were also excellent. Food was mediocre at best. We were really disappointed since this place came with such great reviews. Food was gross. Soggy, cold, bad flavor, etc. Neither of us finished our meal. The place was empty while we were there. Maybe that should’ve been a red flag for us. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Dark and grimy. Smelled gross inside and they tried to cover it up with the scent of some over-powering cleaner. Won’t be back and won’t recommend to others. I love the food, environment and staff! Always a great experience for my family! Tonight we had take out for 5 people and everything was absolutely perfect, made.on time and perfectly. Some of the best Mexican I have ever had! Loved the atmosphere and vibe! The service was great too! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Service was good. I was with a group and the server was very patient with the different orders. The food is just okay. I had tacos. The rice was overcooked and the salsa was rather bland.
