Service is slow early on Friday night. Food is way below average, greasy fried food from a dirty kitchen. I’m sure roaches dominate this place at night. The crowd is the worst, low brow degenerates. I have been coming here since it was Prince of Wales, usually on Tuesday evenings when the Silicon Gulch Jazz Band (Trad Jazz) plays. I like the selection of beers and ciders on tap, the fish & chips, the burgers, and the general "dive pub" feel of the place. I do not like the actual atmosphere - the cigar/cigarette/vape smoke that comes in from the back patio. They need to improve the ventilation somehow. Been going there for over 15 years now. It's a local dive, really, not exactly a flashy place. More like a place where you get comfortable. Plenty of beers on tap, Fish and chips with barely any batter, mostly fish. A place to go with friends you aren't interested in impressing, just hanging out for a few hours.
