We went for a late lunch and the food was delicious, everything we ordered was very tasteful, the pernil (pork) was seasoned to perfection and the arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) was also delicious. Born and raised in the island, I just have to say that their food is one of the best I've had in a really long time. Las alcapurrias a la par con las de Piñones... highly recommend. Heads up, food is made to order. Make sure you give yourself enough time to cook and enjoy your meal, it's definitely worth the wait. My wife and I had an "Alcapurria" as appetizer (it is made with green plantain, taro root, stuffed with meat), really tasty by the way! We also tried the "Arroz con Gandules y Pernil," (Rice with pigeon peas, and pork leg) and the "Chuleta Rellena," (stuffed pork chop) it was stuffed with sweet plantains, mixed with cream cheese and mozzarella. The food is fresh, made to order, they have service, atmosphere, and they're really nice people, very recommended!!!
