A drink worth posting about. Excellent service from the bartender. Delicious Chinese food. Got the Plumb Pork and Double Fried Bacon with Leeks from the attached restaurant Szechuan. This place is usually busy. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been coming here for a number of years with mixed experiences. Our latest visit had great service. The cocktails were delicious, as always. The food, however, was a miss. Served quickly, but half of our order was luke warm and not as good as in the past. We had late reservations that may have contributed. The last call is at 10:30 on a Saturday night. Eat before you arrive and then grab some drinks. Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My partner and I and his sibling went to Baldwin Bar tonight and dined on their second level, Baldwin and Sons Trading Co., for my partners birthday, which I notated in our reservation, that was at 9:30 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly marred by the service we received. After a short wait, we were told immediately by our server we had a minute to place our food orders and then around 25 minutes later we were last called for the bar as well which left us no time to review the menu thoroughly. If we had been made aware that we would be this significantly rushed we would have chosen to come on a different night so we could have a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our server forgot to ring in one of the food items we ordered, the sesame chicken, the server's resolution was a complimentary mocktail, which felt underwhelming. To add to the discomfort, my partner's brother forgot his ID, and the server remarked, "we'll be watching you”, in regard to us not sharing our drinks. It was understandable that he could not be served without presenting an ID, but the remark made by the server made us feel very uncomfortable throughout the rest of the dinner. The server was extremely short with us the entire dinner which made the three of us feel super awkward and added to the uncomfortable environment that was already created. We all work in the service industry. I am a bartender at a bar in Downtown Crossing and my partner is a lead bartender at a bar in Somerville, both late night restaurants. My partners sibling is also a server at another restaurant in Watertown so we all have an understanding of what it means to be in the service industry. It’s hard work and people can be difficult. I left a 20% tip, recognizing the challenges faced in the industry and out of respect for the restaurant because we know there is a lot that goes into every night of service. I am very disappointed that we did not have a good experience especially because my partner was super excited to check this place out for his birthday and enjoy their cocktail menu. We know now, that even if offered it will not be enjoyable experience to reserve a table after 8:30 PM. Hopefully this issue will be resolved for future guests and ourselves. Located at Woburn, a Chinese Sichuan Garden II joint with craft-cocktail which is just a simple building on the outside with an amazing interior. Loved the mocktails and cocktails served from the bar, real good mix. The foods are amazing, some on a more spicier side to our spice level but the serving size, taste and presentation are awesome. Loved the staff that accommodated us, they are so nice and friendly. Would love to come back and bring some friends with us the next time. Baldwin Bar is a great treat! The drinks are stunning and the employees are able to provide recommendations based on what flavors you want. It's important to note that there are different drink menus depending on where you sit (Baldwin Bar vs Baldwin & Sons) but drinks in both areas are amazing. The food is also very tasty and the spice levels shouldn't be underestimated. Make sure you make a reservation, especially during the summer! It gets very busy and is worth a trip

Loved the decor. Reminded me of old English pubs. The staff is great. Food was quite average. Love their chilly peppers. Good part is for main course they can substitute meat with any veggies/tofu. I always have hard time to find good vegetarian food options but they did a pretty decent job. This place is well known for cocktails and my husband loved everything he tried.

We went without a reservation after 8:30 and they just had a cancellation so we got lucky! The drinks are so yummy! I got a Cenote Sling and an Apricot Summer. My date got an old fashioned. We also ordered fried cumin fish to have with the drinks and were surely not disappointed. We’ll be back soon!!

If you are looking for mixed cocktail drinks you are never going to find anywhere else, this is the place to be. Food is super spicy, but I loved the braised beef and napa cabbage so much I had to finish it even though my face was melting off. If you want a memorable experience you aren't going to forget instead of another boring night out I suggest you try this place. The "Two Roads Diverged" for two is excellent and a fun table piece. They also do drinks to go in fun tubes. Love this place and will stop by anytime I'm in the area.

Favorite spot for one of my coworkers whi introduced me to it here a year ago. Fantastic drinks, delicious menu. Both spicy and non spicy options. The spicy cucumber app is ADDICTIVE. I have to get it every time. I have a medium tolerance for spicy food, but still find it so delicious.

Had wanted to come pre-pandemic so after 15 months of anticipation I built up some pretty high expectations and they were all easily exceeded. This place is awesome and I am so glad they're a 5min drive from home. I am still dreaming about the chicken wings but everything was so good, the double cooked bacon and leeks - amazing. And then you get into the cocktails, wow, they know their stuff and you can tell they love it as well which shines through in their food and drinks. Such friendly staff, gave us a tour of the building afterwards because it has so much character. This is my new favorite spot, hands down.
