Texas Underground BBQ is pretty near Museum of North Texas History. Do not go away without degusting good sliced brisket, sausages and pork. The chef at this bbq cooks tasty pecan pie and good banana pudding. After a long working week, you can taste delicious wine or good beer. On Friday my friends and I decided to try this place out for lunch. Immediately when we walked in, the man with the long beard looked at my friend and said " wooo it must be my birthday because look what you brought me". when she went up to order he told her "you're just the prettiest thing, I see a lot of people and I'm just rarely impressed". After we received our plates, she walked up to the counter to get extra pickles and the man proceeded to tell the staff to "be nice to her, she could be your future step mom". Besides the BBQ with a side of sexual harassment, the portions are so small for the price. *Editing because since leaving my review, I have learned of 5 other women who experienced sexual harassment from the owner. Delicious Texas style BBQ. This place could easily be passed by and missed as it’s located in downtown Wichita Falls around a few abandoned/run down businesses. Once inside you’ll be warmly greeted and you’ll get to order at the counter. Family style seating in a small and clean dining area. I tried the two meat plate with the pork burnt ends and brisket. The burnt ends are a bit fatty as they are pork belly pieces but they were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The brisket was perfectly moist and full of flavor as well. The sides weren’t anything out of the ordinary but were pretty tasty as well. I was in town two years ago and was bummed I wasn’t able to make it out to this spot but I’m so glad I had the chance to try it out on this visit. I stumbled upon this place by chance, and I’m so glad I did. The bbq and desserts were amazing. The owner and staff were so friendly and inviting. I am a big bbq fan and this… words cannot express how good this food was!!!! Best bbq I’ve ever had. I rarely leave reviews but felt like this place needs one, that’s how good it was. I got the two meat plate with 2 sides and let me tell you the meat was unreal! I got potato salad and the Mac and cheese and both were good! I got pulled pork and the brisket wet and oh sweet lord both were by far the best I’ve ever had! So moist and delicious flavor! The bbq sauces were delicious too but the meat really didn’t need it at all (and I’m a HUGE bbq sauce fan I put it on everything). So freaking good. The service was superb! The guy working the register was so fun and personable and the food came out so fast probably within 30 seconds. Everyone was so polite and had smiles on their faces. Definitely great service. To sum it all up DEFINITELY give it a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed especially if you get what I got. Not included in my edit after your gracious reply is yet another not so startling fact, it appears that you block from Facebook anyone that fails to review your establishment in a manner in which you feel you deserve.. Do you not understand this actually reinforces the customers argument? The purpose of a review is for us, the customer to provide you the business owner operator our opinion of the food, service, quality, etc. etc. for which you provided and not what you wish our opinion should be from that exchange. New favorite place in town. Low key, family friendly, BBQ joint that has the BEST brisket nachos around. Ribs are cooked perfectly too and hubby loved the Cajun mac and pinto beans.
