It's no frills, honest hot dogs and burgers from the hard luck Buffalo ownership that has been consistently putting out tastiness in Tempe since I was kid. Everything is grilled in front of you so don't expect to get food thrown at you the second you order. The onion rings with ranch are next level. If you want the true Buffalo NY hot experience you're going to need to go to Ted's. This location is the only one outside of western NY which is a shame they should be everywhere. They cook with actually charcoal which gives it there signature flavor. God I wish I lived closer to Arizona so 8 could go here all the time. On another note they actually sell frozen packs of shalens hot dogs which are outstanding and are not available outside of western NY. Oh and pro tip get the hot sauce it's outstanding. Fantastic! The staff was funny and helpful. The prices are good. Everything was fresh! The grease was fresh because the onion rings were crisp and TASTY! Beef hot dogs just the way you want it. Fresh bread and condiments. The guy making our hot dogs was thoughtful enough to change his gloves after he helped cash out the couple in front of us. Hard to beat a classic that’s done right. This place is very welcoming and they definitely have their formula down pat! All the classics that remind me of home and good quality ingredients. Basic stuff- hamburgers and hotdogs. We also had the fish plate and it was fantastic. Tartar sauce was delicious too. We ordered a ton of food and it was all very reasonable and satisfying. I would recomm this gem of a spot to anybody. This place is great!
