WOWWWW! The only time I had Mexican this delicious was in actual Mexico! This is Mexican cuisine, not just food, no tex-mex here. My husband and I happened to be in Winchester and saw the reviews and went with low expectations, not trusting the reviews. Lol we wanted to satisfy our curiosity more than anything. We were blown away. From the music, level of service and menu we realized we were truly in for something special. We forgot we were in the US at some points. Our server was excellent, the receipt said his name was “flaco” LOL. He made our meal an experience to remember. If you are a fan of moles, you must try the mole enchiladas (enmoladas), they were out of this world. Their tamal was perfect, their shrimp cocktail was perfection. If ever in Winchester we will return. I highly highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a true Mexican meal. Absolutely everything about this establishment is on point! The food is literally so good. The attentiveness to their guest, top notch! Strawberry Margarita so so good😋 And recommendations given were a hit. I will definitely make sure to stop by again when visiting Winchester. Stop by and check them out, you wont regret it 😉 Currently in a food coma! We had carne asada burritos, a la mexicana platter, tacos chips and guac and queso blanco! The food here is on point! After moving here from Seattle we have been so disappointed by the food scene, but this place is amazing!Like actually delicious food! The burritos are out of this world and the margaritas were so good! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the market for truly good Mexican food. This place is an embarrassment to Mexican Cuisine. This was the most unauthentic food I’ve ever had. The Torta Ahogada was not even made using the correct bread, yet this place bears the name of the city that the dish is from. The salsa on my enchiladas was clearly store bought and the chicken inside was rubbery. The salsa from the chips and salsa was flavorless and the fajitas were dry. The food was underwhelming. The decor is nice, loved the fresh Dahlia flowers as a table centerpiece. Service is friendly, even though they got my order wrong. We were told the food would come a little later because of a mix up on the kitchen. I can respect that and was glad I was given a heads up. No worries. But when my food came out I got the wrong taco. I was a little bummed but all the tacos were good. My husband got the mole plate- it was good. He also got a buche taco and we both agreed it needed a little more crispiness. I would pass on the coconut flan. There is a kids menu, they bring out a paper menu but no crayons. I always carry crayons on my purse. Overall for being Virginia Mexican food we thought it was a 5. For southern Cali food we give it a 3. I would recommend coming and trying their food. Beware they charge a fee for using your debit/credit card. If you pay with cash no 4% will be added.
