Went for lunch today and was absolutely delighted! All four of us got different entrées; each loved our food. We got the key lime pie for a special bday dessert for my friend. I might get that for my entrée next time. DELISH! Our server, Andrew, was attentive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Impeccable! We were having such a great time that we forgot the clock. We looked to alert Andrew, and before we even saw him, another server was there to assist! Unbelievable service! The ambience was elegant and clean. Stanford Grill is definitely a place that we go to when we want to celebrate! I celebrated a birthday here a few years back (it was an unexpectedly warm winter day and they let us sit outside!). Tonight, I dined here with my family who were visiting us from Korea. I called and asked for a table of 12 adults and 1 baby on very short notice and they were able to accommodate us. The hostess even went above and beyond to ensure we could all sit together which was greatly appreciated. My relatives commented on how much they loved the atmosphere and how it felt so nice! In terms of food, we ordered two of the calamari for appetizers. For our entrees, we had 4 chicken parmesans, 3 prime ribs, 1 crispy pork shank, 2 Stanford burgers, 1 crab cake, and 1 rainbow trout. We also ordered two ice cream sundaes for the few kiddos in our group and they absolutely loved the presentation and taste. Everyone loved their food and my aunt commented on how American food has been so salty but the food here was perfect (the highest praise!) For parking, there's a garage that has an elevator that pops you out right by the restaurant entrance. We had to pull a ticket but parking was free (the gates were up when we left) and the hostesses were friendly and answered all of our parking questions Lastly, our server was Tyler H and he was the BEST. We had such a large party and he really made everything so seamless. Our many rounds of plates were cleared incrementally and quickly, he struck a perfect balance of checking in, and he constantly refilled our waters. We had an amazing time and our meal felt so special because of the amazing service we had. I love this restaurant and recommend it highly! Went for a Birthday Dinner with our family (all adults) today for 5, reservations made over a week earlier. We asked for a table but were told they were all reserved. Sat us at a booth while many tables remained empty throughout our visit. They offer a wide array of dishes, something for everyone in the group. None of the apps, sushi or entrees we had were stellar or even stood out. But the key lime pie was very good. Not that I want a freebie but they charged for the dessert with the candle. We ordered a few desserts, most other places comp the birthday girl’s dessert. Most likely will not be going back to this place. My friend raved about this place. Obscure location. You'd never find it unless you knew where it was. A hidden gem. It was my birthday dinner number.... Lol... The ambiance is cozy , low light, many booths, friendly bar. Service was prompt. Sooo I ordered a Montreal ribeye steak. I got a Montreal NY strip steak. I alerted the server who called a manager and she promptly put in the right order and told me of corrective actions she took with the chef's. The replacement was a ribeye, but just regular. Still not right. At this point, I just ate it. I was getting hungry and my companion was half done with his entree. He raved about his fire roasted chicken. Overall, the food is good. Decided last minute to try this place. It was pretty good. The steak had a great grill char on it. The calamari was good and tender. Appetizers and entrees were good.
