Beef and lamb gyoza - 2nd best dish of the night! I actually really liked it but I didn’t think the beet accompanied it well. Tuna tartare- as a big fan of tuna tartare, this wasn’t the best I had. However, again as a big fan of tuna tartare, it was delicious! Chestnut agnolotti - the aromas were amazing, my fav dish of the night! The cheese and the chestnut complemented each other really well. Almond roasted salmon- the roasted almond was dry, as almond is, but since the salmon wasn’t super juicy either, the overall feeling in your mouth was that the dish was DRY. The mashed potato underneath the salmon didn’t help the case either. However, I liked the balsamic and the almond combination. The cocktails- we tried the rum one and the forbidden kiss. They were both unique and flavourful. The service was bad. I feel like in a restaurant like this one it should be better. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
The place has a 1* michellin so it comes with expectations. They where not met so lets start with the bad. - The waiting staff where clumsy(dropping a bottle twice), not remembering who had what(group of 8) and generally do not seem pleased to be there and looked like they wanted to get out asap. - There was also a significant language barrier which i did not expect (considering its inside a international top hotel chain, i expect English to be at least mediocre) - The food: my dish (risotto) was overcooked and quite salty Now the good - The views where good - atmosphere was decent - ample of choice in regards to drinks and food. - the pizza's and other pasta's where tasty. Conclusion: I did not feel, saw or experienced why on earth this restaurant had a michellin star apart from the hiked prices.( i have visited several * and ** restaurants so i got some comparison materials). Foodwise for me personally i found it mediocre at best, not warranting the prices. As a cocktailbar it would definitely succeed. Would i visit it again? No. Would i recommend it based on my visit? Bajo mi punto de vista no se merece ninguna estrella que tine, aun las cuatro veces que intente ir estando alojada yo y mi marido en el hotel St. Regis que el restaurante esta arriba la 7 planta es lo peor y deportable servicio de camareros que sinceramente no entiendo como lo pueden tener. Estando en Turquía todo es posible!!!!!! y como Dios le dieron estas estrellas al servicio nefasto. Nunca me sentí más insultada yo y mi marido por un camarero diciendo o pagas 5.000 liras turca por persona o no entras. Por el amor De Dios me estoy ganando 4000€ en el hotel que está en el mismo edificio en tres noches y me viene de 152 € !!!! Es una pena que pase estas cosas por el servicio pero aveces el mismo servicio lleva a la ruina todo y luego se presenta porque no tiene clientes. Así que mi consejo es que ahorrar vuestro dinero en este sitio y gastar en otro que el servicio esté a la altura. Y lo digo que afortunadamente viajó mucho por el mundo y comí en los mejores restaurantes del mundo. Sé que la foto no corresponde al restaurante pero está de la habitación del hotel. I had quite an interesting experience at this restaurant. To start, they charge extra fees for things like chairs, service, and even water, which seemed quite unusual. The food, unfortunately, didn't live up to the high prices, and it felt like they were competing with New York's cost of living. The ambiance was another letdown. It gave off a 90s trashy strip bar vibe with a room full of smoke, which also created a lingering smell on my clothes and hair that I had to contend with long after leaving the restaurant. and the clientele didn't seem to match the upscale pricing.
