Staff is always amazing Food is probably the best in town (I know real Mexican food) not these people who live here and think that everything in town is like 4+ stars. This place is pretty legit for this town. It isn’t old town San Diego or the spots in east LA. But it gets the job done and the staff make it better. Food was mediocre. Waited a long period of time at each step of service: waited to be seated while a long line of customers were paying on their way out, waited a long time for a server to come to the table, waited a long time for drinks to arrive, waited a long time for the food to arrive … we were in the restaurant about an hour when our food arrived. The server was all-business with minimal pleasantries. The chicken and ground beef in the tacos was generally bland. The steak in the chimichanga was good but also had an after taste of a cooking grill. Food wasn’t fantastic. The place had a heavy perfumed smell, which I would assume is the cleaner they use. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. We wouldn’t choose to eat there again. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
