My wife and I sat at the bar. It took well over 10 minutes for the bartender to clear the previous customers food and drinks. After that he took our drink and app order and we ceased to exist. The sangria was good. The mussels were inexcusably bad, I had to pick chunks of byssal thread (mussel beard) out of the vast majority the of mussels I bothered to eat (I think I tried 5 before giving up on the dish). The bartender continued to act as though we didn't exist, never asking how the food was despite the fact we'd pushed it aside after barely touching it. Perhaps it was because he recommended it. Regardless I've never been so disappointed by the service and food prep of a restaurant. If you're under the age of 50 don't expect to receive the bare minimum of service at this establishment. If you enjoy seafood, don't expect it to be well sourced or properly prepared. I can't speak on the rest as my wife and I ended our meal early and left disappointed. Been there five times recently because friends ask us for a good restaurant recommendation and we go with them. All enjoyed it. Nice when a place is consistently good. Service is also great. Not noisy-easy to hold a conversation. Prices are very reasonable. Good beers. Definitely worth going a sixth time. I saw 4+ star ratings and was prepared to be able to eat some good quality Mexican food. My dining experience however was ordinary and I felt nickel and dimed for the food and drinks. The waiter asked us, would you like some chips and salsa before we had our menus, we presumed like most Mexican restaurants, those would be complimentary, lesson learnt. The outside tables have grills that have large holes and are not friendly to slim glasses, if you accidentally spill anything on them, the food/drinks are going to go right through on to your legs. Food quality was ok but totally not worth the price they were charging. This is also one of those areas that lacks any diversity and gives bad vibes like they were doing us a favor by serving us. Food was delish and atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff kind of disappeared at times although the whole team worked together to make sure needs were met. We tried to purchase gift cards after dinner. The bartender said we needed to see the hostess who was chatting with bar customers. After 10 minutes passed, we left sans gift cards. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Great experience at Sobre Mesa this past Saturday. The quality of the food and the service was incredible, every single dish was delicious and service as great. For such a fun, festive environment with great food, it's a bit reserved and it really shouldn't be. Busy, but comfortable. Staff do their part to make people feel comfortable. We have been a few times now and absolutely love this place. Not only do you get chips and salsa, you get multiple salsas. Order a large container of salsa Macha to go, toast an English muffin, fry and egg and put the salsa on top! You're welcome!!! Only thing that would make this place better is if they did brunch with margarita flights. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Underwhelming Mexican food. Had been wanting to try this place because we love Mexican food, but it was disappointing. Tried the ceviche sampler, and the octopus wasn't fresh and was chewy. Tuna ceviche was bland. Tacos were just ok, and I made a margarita at home after dinner because I can make a better one. "Bottomless" chips with salsa and side of guac were the best part of the meal. First time visiting this evening. We had the best dining and service experience we have had in a long time. Starting with Katie the hostess. She was so warm, informative, and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. I also noticed her helping out the team and checking in on guests the whole time. Our server was Missy and she suggested the most unique yet delicious cocktails! Her timing was perfect and checked in on us regularly. We had the crispy Brisket tacos and the shrimp tacos, so flavorful and fresh. Brisket meat was cooked perfectly. We are so happy with this experience. We will be back again soon. 11/10! I won a Super Bowl Taco party and they delivered the food to my home. The amount Of food we received was outrageously amazing ! The food itself was delicious !!! The amount of sides supplied… again outrageous! I cannot recommend Sobre Mesa any higher! The customer service, Melissa the manager who organized my order and the chefs creating the masterpieces…. Delicious Mexican cuisine. We had the wings (amazing), guacamole (delicious), brisket tacos with rice and beans (heavenly), and bottomless chips with mild salsa 😋 everything was phenomenal 👌 we also had the coco nuts cocktail and house margaritas 🍹🥥
