Food was great as always. The service review was based on the speed of the food coming out. There were a number of tables that waited an hour plus for their meals. The friendly staff seemed to not be around to even refill drinks while we all waited. Once you are waiting for food and not drinking, the atmosphere tends to decline. Frustration was in the air. I see a ton of reviews in here for their "famous" ribeye and Cajun. Before you go you should know that it's all gone. Pulled from the menu for some reason. The food is still good quality but they have regressed to your standard bar menu. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The tavern features excellent Mexican food, but the restaurant itself is outdated, has a funky bar smell and is in need of a “Bar Rescue”! I will order takeout only. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

Food was great and plentiful. They don’t skimp on portions. The beef burrito was massive put a hurting on me. The wife’s chicken sandwich was more than she could handle, she said it was very juicy. Chicken burrito was my buddies and was packed with flavor. Wait for food was a little long, but not bad as we weren’t in a hurry. Definitely worth a visit.

3 stars for wait time and missing food Waitress was phenomenal! Food was cooked to perfection! A+++ BUT we waited 45 minutes for an appetizer, and food followed about 45 mins after that. But we were missing 1 of the plates, and we were all done eating before he got his food. But the food was awesome once it got there! Because the food was SO AMAZING, I'd return and give them another chance to see if wait times are better

We went on a burrito mission. There was so much yummy looking food coming out of the kitchen I wanna go back. The deep fried cauliflower looked like it was 2 heads of cauliflower and a meal in itself Ok back me. Hands down get the poppers. I’m not a hot person and I thought they had heat but nothing unbearable. These things arrive to the table and seriously look like a dinosaur egg. And they are DE-lisious. The sauce it comes with is like a creamy cheese but has some sweetness. I got the mini beef and bean wet burrito and it was like a normal size burrito. I love that it came with sour cream in the burrito. For the price this burrito is awesome. The red sauce was super cumin flavor. It was not horrible just not my favorite. A friend got the chicken burrito with white sauce and it was good. I’d get that. The drinks were kinda pricy but totally pretty potent!

A hidden gem! Please... if you've never been here, you need to add SkeeTown into your rotation. I've never had a bad experience. All the dishes are generous, especially if you aren't familiar with the Tavern portion sizes.

8 Feb 2022: party of 5 tonight, 4 checks, Bella was our server. Very helpful and confirmed that SOYBEAN oil is used in the fryer. Our party had 16 oz Ribeye, fantastic. Burgers and chicken tender basket got no complaints from our friends. Bonus photos of some HUGE wet burritos! Ummm, it’s not on the menu… but order a lavender hibiscus frozen margarita and or a red Sangria and enjoy a great local place. Plenty of parking, bathrooms clean and well stocked, atm, touch tunes, lots of high hairs, handicap friendly. Our group met up about 5ish on a Tuesday and was not busy. We timed it perfectly! DELIVERY AND CARRYOUT!! 2018: Fun place, but not for large groups. We waited over an hour for our dinner, with a group of 13, the staff kept our drinks coming, checked on us frequently, kept chips and salsa full....The steaks were great, 12 oz rib eye with bourbon sauce.. great, appetizers awesome, service good. Large portions, good value. Bathrooms clean. Small outdoor seating area doubles as smoking section. Can be loud, if you're looking for quiet dining, this isn't your place, when it’s busy
