Visited for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised by this cute little cafe. Although the Belhaven cafe area is not as much of a coffee shop vibe as other ones nearby, the location is perfect for a stroll with your iced coffee around the beautiful campus (which is quite peaceful during the summer). The employee was so sweet and her smile was contagious. I ordered a medium iced lavender latte with oatmilk. Their lavender flavor was not as sweet as one might expect, but it was still delicious. I would recommend sizing up from the size you would normally order because it appears their cup sizes run a bit small. I was initially surprised by how cheap their flavored iced latte was with alternative milk (only $4.50), but I would say the smaller medium size made the price make sense. I was so incredibly impressed with this hidden gem. Delicious espresso and unique drinks. My fave is The Wells.

Very nice tea and they have breakfast sandwiches, coffee, etc. On the Belhaven University campus. Prices are a little steep, but quality food and drinks as well as great service!

Hidden gem! Excellent coffee and a wide variety of creative specialty drinks. Best iced chai I've ever had! They now serve breakfast on Saturday mornings and just started serving lunch as well. Very friendly staff as well! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Shoe Bird Cafe is one of my favorite hidden gems in Jackson. Delicious, locally roasted beans, nitro coffee and kombucha on tap, a ridiculously affordable Saturday breakfast special, and super friendly staff. Also, they use coffee ice cubes in their cold coffee drinks. That's next level. Located right in the Belhaven University Student Center. Open during the summers, too.
