Iranian restaurant Arafa for more than 10 years, and every time I visit the city of Washington, I dedicate one of my meals to this beautiful restaurant. It serves different dishes of grilled meats with luxurious basmati rice, with Iranian saffron and butter added to it. They also have more than one type of rice. It also offers dishes of broth, beans, and traditional green salad. And the leaf salad with tomatoes, and I cannot fail to mention the yoghurt drink with mint and sweets. It still maintains the quality of the food and the level of service. All the employees are friendly and speak English, and some of them speak Arabic. Suitable for family members and friends. The prices are high. I recommend a visit 👌🏻

We went to this restaurant during holidays. It was crowded but they managed the guests really well. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time to save time. They provided fresh bread. The chicken kabob and kubideh was really delicious. The rice comes in big portion. Very clear menu. It has all the information and details for guests who might not be familiar with Persian food. Very reasonable price, great staff.

Salad Shirazi
The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with good food, though it’s not particularly upscale. We encountered an issue with the lamb chenjeh, as it was undercooked and pink inside. After requesting it to be cooked further, it was unfortunately returned overcooked yet still pink. However, the other dishes were delightful. The kobideh, shishlik, and lamb shank were all enjoyable. A highlight was their fresh bread, which was absolutely delicious and available for purchase to take home at $1.50 each.

Lamb Shank
The restaurant offers small appetizer, fresh flat bread (really good) with chili chive dip (not really good). We ordered Barg and Lamb Kabob, it was served very fast. Lamb was ok, but Barg didn't taste good at all. And the tea was good, but the glasses were not clean! I think with so many customers, they can't keep up with hygiene and clean washing
