We had lunch there and the food was great and not great. The curry soup was awesome, two of us had the bangers and mash and one had potatoes that weren't cooked through, but we both agreed the flavor was awesome (when avoiding the raw potato), the clam chowder was solid and the sandwiches were pretty rich but had great fries. Tasty drinks and the server who walked in and was given our table before getting her coat off was a good sport even though she seemed a bit overwhelmed. Previously had great clams and burger here. Will definitely be back but maybe during the week when it's less busy.

Really fun on the marina! Loved the margaritas! The fish and chips was really good and fresh! Not too oily! Great location and good service we sat upstairs with a awesome server who was rushing up and down the stairs! The salad was really good! ❤️❤️

For the food…the “Harvest Black Bean and Mushroom Bowl” is DISGUSTING. Strangely spiced mushrooms with dry potatoes and a ton of dry beans that don’t pair well at all. The waitress told me after that she knew it was an awful dish that would soon be removed from the menu and she didn’t even warn me. We appreciated her helping us find a dish that didn’t violate my food allergies, but I was really disappointed with the quality and lack of sauce (I had to drown it in hot sauce to make it tolerable). I mentioned all of this on the way out to her. The curry was very good and I wish I had not wasted my money on the rest.

We had a great stay at the Salt Hotel. The communication was very good and we found check-in very easy. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the service and food at the pub. There happened to be a free event with local author Robert Michael Pyle while we were there that was in a room above the pub the second night with the option of ordering food brought up. We would stay here again.

I was here photographing the King Tides and this was the perfect place to unwind after a full day. The room was comfortable and warm, and the bed was super comfortable. The property sits overlooking the marina with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The on site pub has good food and is remarkably quiet, I didn’t hear any noise past 9 pm. The rooms all face a central court yard that is warm and inviting. I had a lovely stay here and will be back for the next King Tide season.

The Lamb Reuben was amazing, excellent fries, great drinks, and excellent service. Thank you Lenny! But, what really stood out, was the cook/chef coming out and asking us about our to go order and suggesting changes that would make it better for our drive home. Excellent service, thinking about the customers best experience… we truly appreciated it and did not expect it. Thank you!!

We have stayed at the Salt Hotel many times over the years. It has become our go to getaway when a change of scenery becomes necessary. The harbor front pub has quality food and an always friendly staff taking care of their guests. Good drinks, great food, good music a bit of football and a harbor view. It doesn’t get much better. |As for the rooms, we always try for the Harbor View King or the Upstairs Kings. The rooms are simple, clean and the beds are very comfortable. I think of this place as low key classy. Simple things like glass water glasses and mugs in the room when most more expensive places offer you paper or plastic cups. It’s a little detail but it matters. The mini fridge and microwave is a nice touch as well. |This is a family run motel. Over the years we’ve seen them continue to make improvements in their hotel. And we really admire that. Staying at Salt, we are always confident of a comfortable time. |Enjoying the beaches nearby, the quality bookstore next door or sitting on their south facing deck on a sunny winter afternoon enjoying the view and a pint of Ledbetter Red. Highly recommended. |

Off the beaten path, Salt hotel and Pub is a gem you won’t believe you didn’t know about. It’s that cool! The pub food is seriously fantastic, probably one of the best meals I’ve had in the Astoria Long Beach area. The rooms are simple and perfect. The waterfront is lovely. Highly recommended!

Kiddos loved the grilled cheese sandwiches, spinach and artichoke dip was also a hit. Great atmosphere particularly in the restroom upstairs fun decor. The gift shop in the lobby has unique treasures to remember your trip with or to entice friends and family to come with next time. Great view of the ships in the harbor, fantastic food flavor and well chosen and placed decor throughout.

I was missing conditioner in my bathroom, I missed my morning shower. but the bed was really comfy. The bar downstairs had delicious food and very friendly, welcoming staff. I really like what this hotel brings to the area, it feels like home. Its a romantic little ocean spot, don't miss it.
