This is the only place I go to when I want a seafood bag. I've tried seafood bags from various different places and none compare to sakes. The shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes are favorable and well season. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This used to be my favorite spot to bring my wife and now I can’t even get a refill nor service that is worth such. Food is always amazing and this restaurant doesn’t seem to either pay staff enough because they apparently think one server on the floor EVERY time I come here is acceptable. Ruins customer experience. Takes 25min to get a refill. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
I take my mom here every time I'm back in Mississippi for lunch- and have been doing this for over 10 years now. It is- without a doubt- one of the best places in Hattiesburg in terms of food and service. Such an easy going atmosphere and food is always, always good. We've never had any issues. Service is amazing. Usually the same faces. Always nice and checks on us often. Prices are reasonable. They've gone up a few over the years but nothing crazy like many other places in Hattiesburg. Our regular is always a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box with the lunch special but we've had the drink specials, fried tofu, and a few of the sushis. Everything is delicious, fresh, and there's never any error each visit. It is my rock in Hattiesburg. Big thank you to Sake Cafe. The food is always really good. The service sometimes is hit or miss. Lots of turnover with staff so hard to get consistency. Not the friendliest staff either. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Sushi
I paid $56 for a seafood bag. Got home and was missing the sausage I added. Checked my receipt and confirmed I was charged for it. Called the restaurant and spoke to the hostess and manager on duty who stated that I had to bring the food back in order for them to do anything. I asked would they be giving me a fresh order if I come back since I live 15 minutes away and the rest of my food would be cold. The manager said, per the owner who was not in, that could not be done. This is a stupid policy and poor customer service for a mistake on the restaurants behalf. If I have to be inconvenienced and waste gas to come back for something they did wrong, a fresh order is the least they could do. I was a faithful customer, but I will not be returning. This is not how you right your wrongs. Meal type Other Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Crab Legs
Food was great. A little wait to get check, but will come back again.
Good place to eat with subtle flavors and decent price. The Spicy Yellowtail roll is excellent, but take your time with it to enjoy the subtle flavors as they open up. If you eat it too fast you'll miss out. The Tuna Tar Tar is tasty and would definitely be a repeat order in the future. The Salmon Naruto roll was very refreshing and I really enjoyed the cucumber wrapping, but the white sauce it was served with masked a lot of the flavor of everything else. The Spicy Yellow Dragon my wife liked, but it was a large marble shaped mold of fish flakes on top of a modest roll that was a bit too much to eat in one bite. The flavor of the fish flakes overwhelmed anything else that was going on with the roll. Staff are friendly and the facilities are clean. Parking is plentiful in the area, but it might be challenging for any big vehicles during peak busy hours. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
I came here on my friends birthday. We love coming to Sake but this experience has been by far the WORST!! The food didn’t taste the same tonight, wasn’t cooked fully, and the service is rude (well one lady who came to check on us) our server (tris) seemed new because the other lady had to get her multiple times to help her about our issues. Then she got an attitude with us when all we came to do was enjoy our evening, eating good at our favorite place. I’m extremely sad about this experience and will have to find a new favorite seafood spot. oh and btw this is 1/2 lb of crab legs.
Mariposa shrimp, blossom roll & sausage and corn were awesome! Tried something new! Our waitress Katilyn was awesome she had recommendations since it was our first visit!! We will be back! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
A small strip mall restaurant that's big on taste, our first dine-in experience with Sake Cafe was wonderful. From our lovely and attentive waitress, Addie, to the ambiance, table settings and food, they really have a unique, quaint eatery. We've ordered from them on Waitr and our food arrived just as fresh, impressive and tasty as our tabletop experience. My order came with a garden salad with ginger dressing...simply fabulous! I love ginger dressing and this one was rich and delicious. My daughter got the beautiful Rocky II Roll--which I didn't get a pic of the roll because my daughter took a bite of it as soon as it reached the table--and I had the Akita Snapper and white rice, with drinks, it rounded out to $34.97. Not too shabby. My snapper was fried with a tempura type coating and sat in a beautiful sweet and savory sauce that was to die for! We are definitely ordering from Sake again and going back as well. It was WORTH IT!
