The ambiance was very cool. The staff was so nice. But sadly I need to say that the food was not good at all. Steak was overcooked, frozen vegetables, no seasoning at all. Food was great. The manager came around to check to see if everything was ok, Husband was over joyed with the fish fry that they have every Friday night. He said we will come back for more and my hamburger was so big I couldn't finish it but was very tasty. Look out Rooney's here we come. I have ordered their Philly Steak sandwich for over 30 years. Never had a problem. This time I forgot to say no peppers. My fault. I pulled the peppers out. It the beef was so well done , dry and like leather. I called talked with the manager. She was so rude saying my roommate called about the peppers. So. I told her that I would bring it over. I went there, the manager is the granddaughter of the owners and very rude. She talked about the peppers. I told her the peppers was my fault but the roast beef was hard, dry and well done. She gave me no apologies but she did give me back the money for my sandwich and the extra macaroni that I ordered. No apologies, but she has 5stars for being the rudest manager there in 30 years. There were eight of us from 10 to 80 yrs on a Saturday afternoon and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. If I had come with my buddies we would have hung out by the bar. I was very excited about getting the food here. I have a friend who tabbed about their food, but sadly, we were very disappointed with the quality. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which tasted like reheated frozen food from a plastic bag. All they did was lay a piece of pastry over the top of soupy part. Greatly disappointed. I'm only giving a 4 on food because my usual go-to meal is the chicken pot pie. The last two times I've ordered the chicken pot pie, it has over the top salty for my taste. Perhaps using a low sodium broth would take care of the problem. The staff have always been friendly and frequently update you on the status of your order. Atmosphere is very nice.
