definitely some of the best food i’ve had in my 17yrs living in the netherlands! it can be hard to find quality like this, but roast nailed it. delicious cocktails (although a tad on the sweet side) and the quality of the food was amazing, fresh seafood & very tasteful choices when it came to asian flavour influences, which is especially appreciated for NL :) portion sizes are also perfect, on the larger side so you absolutely get what you pay for! thanks again for the good service and experience & tot de volgende Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited the Roast due to a recommendation and was not disappointed. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. You can ask for all the details about your meal or drink, they can answer your question. Very impressive! And if you have any kind of allergies, just let them know and they will handle it. I ordered ,,Steak Tartar” from the lunch menu (on the photo). Food was great and well served. We were expecting longer menu because there were not enough options for us (my friends are meat lovers). Huge restaurant with terrace at the waterfront and garden at the back. The restaurant is done in a modern style with an industrial atmosphere. The service is most friendly and personal. The wine we chose was accompanied by a story of its origin. The food was most definitely tasteful although the price is too high. A pasta meal for 25 euro’s or deserts for over 10 euro’s. The food was okay, but the restaurant has really small portions - and the quality and amount of food is not worth the money you pay for it, in my opinion. For example, the meat in the photo cost more than 20 €, I think. The service was good, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also great, and the interior is beautiful. However, the price and small portions ruined the experience a little bit for me. Just finished the dinner. This must be the best and most creative restaurant in town if not in all Friesland. My friend said: it is divine and I agree. Extraordinary food full of different flavours very artfully combined together. Attentive service and fantastic setting. Will definitely come back again! Thank you! What a lovely place!!! Locales Next to a canal giving you an unique scenery (genuinely Dutch). Next to shopping area. You can choose being indoors (very modern, colorful, so nice) or outdoors as we chose very happily. Its menu offers tasty options in a peaceful place and besides that in good company. Fantastic staff and AMAZING Food made this our favorite restaurant during our stay in Leeuwarden. We enjoyed our meal so much we went back for a 2nd meal. Great atmosphere and wonderful variety on food and drink menu.
