Spent a very comfortable night here before hiking and visiting the Amerongen Kasteel. I should imagine it is popular and gets very busy in good weather.

Our family had a Christmas meal we had the set menu which was fine with still a few choices. The food was cooked well and the service was good, friendly and quick. No complaints just a very nice restaurant.

Lovely lunch on the terrace. We were lucky to snag a table as people were leaving. Very popular place for cyclists. The vegan kroketten were delicious.

Very nice place to stop off for coffee, drinks or food. Can get a little busy but mostly in sunny days on the lovely terrace. Still you usually can find a spot. Friendly staff overall a very charming place, which is nice all year round. Inside is very traditional and cosy.

This is a great location to stay at if passing Utrecht (Dusseldorf to Amsterdam). The hotel is a nearby barn, food is great as is the beer. It’s in a national park so lots of local walks / cycling.

Very tasty lunch! Most waiters were very friendly. However we needed to wait forever until lunch came, even though it was not busy at all (anymore). Also the outdoor furniture deserves to be updated, it's really worn down and quite easy to cut yourself on both tables and chairs.

Nice and cozy with a great terras, feel at home right away at a table near the old stove. Lovely staff serves you a great lunch and all other goodies that a good café/restaurant has to offer. Very nice atmosphere, great spot!

We found this place last fall when looking for a cafe or someplace to get a cup of tea. Because of the pandemic everything was closed but they had set up an outdoor cafe. Now that winter is upon us and the lockdown has gotten stricter, they just have takeaway. They are wonderful and we go there most Sundays for hot cocoa or tea and some wonderful pastry or treat. The staff are lovely, the cocoa is luscious, and so is the pastry/treats.

Went for lunch after walking through Amerongen forest and walking by the close by castle. The village as a whole is breathing the atmosphere of times long gone and this place fits in well. Friendly, good service. The sandwich was nice, the eggs on bread were ok, served on nice thickly sliced bread. Although the weather was no more than ok, there were a lot of cyclists and people with dogs. Everyone in good spirits, peaceful even if it was crowded.
