Eten was voortreffelijk. Coquilles perfect en lekkere tofu inari. Bediening vriendelijk maar toch met verbeterpunten. Had teveel aandacht voor een luidruchtige tafel naast ons, en bediening ging vaak zo snel dat als we nog wat drinken wilde vragen deze al weer weg was. Alert zijn op lege glazen hoort er toch wel bij. En stimuleren van luidruchtige gasten zodat wij geen normaal gesprek meer konden voeren vind ik ook niet helemaal gastheerwaardig. De watertoren is een zeer sfeervol restaurant. Iedere cm is met sfeer aangekleed. Leuke assesoires aan muren, op tafel, in toiletten. Sfeervol licht. Kaarsen. Échte roosjes in de vaasjes. Personeel werkt hard. Hebben de handen vol maar maken tijd voor een praatje en zijn erg betrokken. Plezier in het werk straalt van hun af. Het eten is echt voortreffelijk! Prima prijzen. Probably the main and best thing about this restaurant is the service. The host is a very nice person with a good sense of humor, and you will have a pleasant stay here largely thanks to him. We booked a table in advance, I advise you to do the same. We had mushroom soup of the day, and it was absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it (however, I don’t know what the other soups of the day taste like). The appetizers were so-so, next time I think we wouldn’t take appetizers. The main courses are generally quite good. We also took a huge dessert for two - it was fun, although some kind of banger was missing for some dessert to be very tasty. Inside, the tables are quite crowded, the lighting is dim, which also creates a kind of atmosphere. Overall, a very decent place to have a good evening.
