Me and my mom were heading out of town and just saw this place on the way by happenstance. When I see the word Diner I always know the atmosphere will be good and it was. We had the chicken fried steak with white gravy. The sides were green beans and mashed potatoes (with thin brown gravy) and Texas toast. The food was delicious and so was the iced tea. I will definitely go back if I am ever on this route again as it is pretty far from my house. P S. We didn't try the burgers but another customer had one and said it was delicious also. My wife and I both thought our hamburgers were too dry. Great presentation and good toppings. She absolutely loved the crispy french fries and said they were some of the best she ever had. The onion rings were great but three small onion rings and two normal sized onion rings was a very small portion I thought. Chocolate shake was perfect on flavor and chocolate content but it was a very small portion for the price and definitely was not thick enough. This was a great find as we were traveling through Texas on I-10 on our return home to Florida. The food was plentiful and delicious. The saying is that everything’s bigger in Texas, which definitely includes the servings at Patti’s Diner. The Diner was clean, with a country feel and our server, Alex, was friendly and attentive. Once the lunch crowd thinned out, she took a few moments to tell us a little bit of the history of the Diner when I commented on the decor. My husband and I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It was absolutely scrumptious, and my husband’s French fries were crispy and flavorful, as were my onion rings. This was one of the best meals we had on our travels to and from Phoenix, AZ.
