Stopped in here about a week ago when I was visiting the area. Due to a gastric condition I have a few restrictions. I can’t eat flax seeds or black pepper. I asked if I could get the “naked avocado toast” on wheat bread and if it had flax seeds. The kitchen refused to look at the ingredients of the bread they served. So I ordered it on the English muffin. When it came out ~20 minutes later it was covered in black pepper (not listed on the menu). I asked for it to be remade without the black pepper. Another 10-15 minutes went by and the waiter brought it without the lemon juice, olive oil, or salt—just avocado on bread. He said the kitchen was unwilling to dress it like they normally would just without the pepper. The waiter had to return to get the lemon juice and olive oil on the side. There was no reason for the restaurant to waste everyone’s time and make things so complicated except to send a message that they don’t accommodate allergies, even those as minor as leaving off black pepper. Im grateful for….. Eating breakfast in a beautiful setting with an ocean view, after two hours driving, was very enjoyable. The food quality was good, and the staff were very polite and friendly.
