My first time there, fiance's second. I was impressed with how much room there was on the inside, how clean and pretty it was, the booths easily fit 4 people, aisles between tables weren't super crowded, nice experience! My fiance showed his ID when we checked out and showed them his name was also Mel and jokingly asked for a discount and the manager gave him a $4 discount, 😂! Of course, since his name is Mel, we also bought a hat that says Mel's Diner on it as well! LOVED the atmosphere! Thank you to our server Pat our drinks were never empty. He kept coming back and asked if our food was okay. As a server went above and beyond. He had such a positive attitude. Whoever yall got back in the kitchen keep em! They made my mushroom burger to perfection and those onion rings were delicious. Thank you so much for being a great spot and staying open late when other places are closing by 9 we will back! Although we have been to Pigeon Forge about 5 times, we never went to Mel's Diner. Well, this year we decided to try it. I can't understand why I never heard how good it was. The inside is adorable, our waitress was awesome and the food was incredible! My husband really liked the meatloaf and I went for the steak tips, coleslaw and fries and I was so glad I did. After all the great reviews my family and I had to check this place out and it did not disappoint! My family and I enjoyed the food itwas delicious, I got the meatloaf dinner with corn on the cob and green beans as pictured. Staff was nice and attentive. Overall great experience. Me and my gf got seated pretty quickly even though they were busy, the menu has a wide variety of food and drinks. Our food came out rather fast for how busy they were I’d say around 10-15 mins of waiting. I got the triple stack pancake plate and could barely finish it, my gf had the chicken tender plate with two sides. The waitress was friendly and came back to check on us multiple times which is always appreciated.
