I have eaten here dozens of times over the years. Unfortunately, the last few experiences here were so bad I won’t be eating here again. Service is terrible. It seems like there are no adults in charge of this place. The last three times I’ve waited at least ten minutes just to get someone to take a drink order. Last night we waited 10 minutes and a server came over and said “ has anyone taken your drink order? No? Let me see who your server is.” We waited another 5 minutes and left. The whole time, multiple servers walked by us and a few of them sat at the bar and looked at their phones. The restaurant was also noticeably unkempt. There multiple tables covered in dirty dishes and glassware and the floor looked like they hadn’t dragged a mop through in weeks. The last few times I have had enough patience to let them serve me food, it just was not as good as it used to be and the prices have gone up. Maru was absolutely delicious. We had the crab Rangoon dip and crabby mushrooms. Both were absolutely fantastic. My wife had a Super Mario roll and I had the Nirvana roll. Both were amazing. Our server Ben was attentive, polite, and fast. This was an overall fantastic experience. We will be returning. I stopped here for a bite on a business trip. I did not have a reservation but was seated on a very busy Wednesday night within 10 minutes. After a delay with initial service, which they apologized for, it was speedy service and excellent food. I had spicy salmon roll and yellowtail sashimi. Yum. Service was super slow when i visited. It took 50 minutes for miso soup and salad to be served and we were the 1st customer that dine in. Server did came and apologized for the tardiness but it was during lunch time so we had time constraint. Fodd was ok, nothing was a wow factor. There werent lots of options/rolls for lunch menu. The food was delicious. Service was spot on, and the place was very clean. Low light in the bathrooms. Would be nicer if it was a tad brighter for older people to see better. The ex-girlfriend roll was amazing! Also, the crouching tiger roll was superb. The food is phenomenal! You might think that the rolls are a little pricey, but they are huge and worth it. Our waitress did a lovely job of helping us navigate through some options and she was very attentive throughout our visit. We also highly recommend the sweet tofu appetizer. Very pleasant experience all around. We tried the spicy fried tofu, miso soup, cosmo roll, and the matcha creme brulee and it was all delicious. I had asked if they could take the avocado out of the cosmo roll, and it came out perfectly! The loose leafe tea was also a great choice, you get a good amount for the cost. Our service was superb and all of the staff was very warm and welcoming. Definitely will recommend to others who want to have a sushi dining experience in the Lansing area. Good fish, but service was super slow and prices are way too high. 45-60mins yo get the food. There is definitely better sushi in the area that is cheaper, no question. These prices are beating out better spots in NYC and Chicago. Some rolls are fun and interesting, but the fish wasn’t super high quality.
