I traveled all the way from Richmond VA, just to try the food and to see how the vibe of this place was, and I’m telling you this is worth the 3 hours drive and more, the food was amazingly, perfectly, greatly delicious, very tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to eat like they at DR!!!! The vibe and food are just like home, loved every minute and the customer service!! the fact that this is the closest place that serves Dominican food, I think is what makes this restaurant have the audacity that it did. I spent $28.00 on 2 meals, which me and my fiancé drop money on great food with the quickness so we weren't stressing it! It's the quality of food and quantity of food we received. I got the carne guisado (so I thought I did) it was literally just chunks of super dry beef that you can tell was microwaved in the flavorless but over acidic broth. It had no love ! No herbs or aromatics!!! No potato, no carrots! I was so disappointed but the portion size made it even worse! The rice came cold although we ate it right in the parking lot, the "beef stew" came in a small cup! My fiancé had more beans than I had beef stew and that was a main part of my entree, just off that I will never come here again....like ever! Im Puerto Rican so I know how to make all this food at home, i just miss how in New York i didn't have to cook sometimes I can just go out and get some good Dominican/Puerto Rican food that reminds me of back home. My partner had the chicharrón de pollo (fried chicken chucks) so first off the portion was not great again, the rice and beans were both cold and we had literally ate it straight in the parking lot of the establishment so we can say that we think it's been microwaved! The positive is the chicken was very flavorful and seasoned! My partner hates the lil tiny bones all over though he would've preferred them boneless & again way more protein for the price. Safe to say we appreciate the experience but we were left disappointed. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Fried Chicken
Food is amazing. I’ve travelled to Dominican Republic multiple times and this food is better than what I ate there. The people are gracious and friendly. My only problem was the music. It was before 4 PM and so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation. I ended up with a headache. Unbearable. Everything else: 10 out of 10. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Mofongo De Pollo Frito

Been here a few times during the night I haven't been during the day and I'm starting to have a great time everytime I go... prices are reasonable staff is friendly Price per person $50–100
I love this place. It was so much fun, they place a mixture of Latin and rap music. The bottle girls are so nice. Make sure you get the Empanadas! Also, the hookah is cheaper than most places in D.C.
My order per their menu on DoorDash was Mofongo con carne frita, empanadas de pollo, and a side of maduros. Soo much of this meal was wrong! The meal arrived two hours later and missing the entire entree of Mofongo. The beef was skirt steak from the Lomo Saltado recycled to “complete” this order and arrived dry and over cooked/seasoned. EMPANADAS on the menu is plural for more than one but only one was delivered. The only “right” thing that arrived was the maduros...with an aftertaste of fish. That means that they fried these plantains with recycled oil they fry fish with. I am Latino and know how this menu should taste and ALL OF IT is not Dominican food.
This place was a lot of fun. Plenty of mamis here the drinks are reasonable. The women are eager to dance and talk. However, only three stars because the food isn't so great. I recommend eating before you come.
