This place was amazing thenight we went. It was busy, but we were seated within 15 mins. Our waiter was awesome, the service was less than 10 mins to receive our main course piping hot. Food was delicious. Then of course dessert, strawberry shortcake, was soon good. I would go there again. My wife and I have patronized Longhorn for a while, and loved every visit, until TODAY. We got served by one of the nastiest and racist servers ever (Jessica). Right from the get-go, she looked at the two of us askance, carded me (in my mid-40s), which is fine, but refused to serve my wife simply because she forgot her ID. For the tens of times we’ve come here, this has never happened before. We were okay with it, though, but then after, asked me if I was going to drink my alcohol since she had refused to serve my wife. That was such a bizarre question, and I didn’t know what to say. I said, no. And she went away to get the water. In addition, she then came back and immediately asked for our orders, which is weird because every time we are here, we are served bread first. I had to ask her if Longhorn still serves bread, and she grudgingly said, oh yeah. After these very awkward exchanges, my wife and I just decided to leave for a nearby restaurant. This one of the most distressing experiences ever at a restaurant. If you’re black at Longhorn, just beware! 😕 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Service: 1

I am not generally going to get steak at a restaurant, so this place gives you options if that is your thing. The food was salty though. The service was fine, but I never would pick to go to a Texas themed Restaurant. Had a party of 14 staff was great they assigned use two waitresses, they were very organized and friendly. Food was cooked perfect and delicious. Nobody had to send anything back A little pricey but expected for a steak house. Only flaw was they would not let us sit at a table until the whole party arrived. It's really bad when you have to ask a waitress for a drink refill, it's pathetic when you have to ask 5 times and never receive a refill. To add insult to injury the place was almost abandoned we were the only group in her area. Several salads were ordered with a variety of dressings, none of which included ranch dressing. 3 showed up with ranch dressing, 1 with no dressing and 1 was a ceaser salad which had definitely not been ordered. When asked for the correct salads and dressing she said she would be right back but she never replaced them instead bringing our meals. She was more interested in her phone and another employee there laughing and screaming with her about the horrible things they had done a day before. I finally decided I would leave the appropriate tip when I and two other guests handed her our cups and a fifth time requesting refills. She promptly set our cups on the empty table next to ours and went back to her phone. 40 minutes later she showed up with to go boxes we had not requested and no drink refills. It is my understanding that a tip suplements their income, service that would have been good would have earned her a tip in the 3 figure range for a party of 7. Her actions earned her a tip in the single figure range. I hope she sees this review and thinks about how she can improve her work relationships. TL:DR; Been here a few times for lunch but it's as though they upped their game last time. Lunch on a Saturday tends to be crazy but volumes were light after a busy black Friday. Went as a group of 6 and everyone had an amazing meal. I had the burger with fries which was incredibly reasonable in cost and sizable in portion. My wife had the 6oz steak with a side salad which was carefully prepared to be gluten free. The kids loved their menus with activities to keep them busy while the adults chatted. See you on the road! We came in on a busy Saturday but we used the call ahead (definitely recommend) so we only waited about 5 minutes. I had the filet with shrimp and a baked potato. My boyfriend had the chicken and ribs with a baked potato. We shared the cheesecake for dessert. The food was surprisingly excellent, perfectly cooked. The staff were extremely nice and attentive. I hadn’t been here in 4 years and now I will be coming back all the time. The waitress was so nice and so friendly. The food was absolutely outstanding. I got the chili chicken bites for an app and those were super good. I got the Flo steak w/lobster tail for a meal and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. It was so well cooked that I could’ve cut it with a spoon. The mashed potatoes let me tell you.. brought me back in time, it was so so tasty that all I could see in my mind was my mother making it after I worked outside helping out on the farm all day on a rainy day. Fantastic experience! Jeff was a fantastic manager who came out and said hi. Steak was very peppery but mac and cheese and potato were great! Love the decorations inside the restaurant! Thank you!
