We had a great time at La Puerta! The atmosphere is bar-like. The music is slightly louder than most places, but you can still chat. The food was good. We were used to going to the Gaslamp location, but finally made it to the one here in Mission Hills and love it. Much more spacious, same great menu. Tacos were excellent as well had hoped and expected. Pozole’s a little spicier than what I am used to, but their two mocktails helped me to temper it. One of our favorite go to restaurant for Mexican food. Friendly service by staff (special shout out to Jeremy), consistent delicious and fresh menu items (favorite item are the potato flautitas), superb drinks (favorite is bark at the moon - spicy margarita), fun decor and an overall nice location in Mission Hills.
