Had an early morning appointment nearby and was an hour early. Stopped here for breakfast sandwich and most importantly my cappuccino. Cappuccinno was done just right. Sandwich was good and service fast. Had the Portola Valley Special (egg, artichoke, tomato cheese). Inside seating was available. Bagels tasted ok, but a bit overpriced. Our ham and cheese bagel-wich didn’t have lettuce, tomato or cucumbers as the menu had stated. The western breakfast bagel-wich was rich and filling. Service was fast, but staff behind the counter didn’t seem too friendly when I asked for a cup of tab water. New Management has added bagel style sandwiches and omelettes to the coffee bar menu. Prompt friendly service is a big plus. The bagel was not perfectly authentic tasting, as if it were not immersed in water prior to going into the oven.. Like all baked goods, it would have been even better had it been baked on site. Still, another lunch/breakfast alternative right in PV is a BIG plus. Kudos for the expanded menu, great atmosphere and excellent service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
