This is absolutely a college sports bar - I didn't know that going in, but if you keep that in mind, you'll be fine. Super loud. That and the meh drinks were the only downside. Our service was awesome. I had wanted to sit outside, but the tables were all full. The host actually kept an eye out for us and told us when a patio table was available so we could move out there. The food was awesome! I got a chicken tender melt, which was above average for sure - so were the fries. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

When we walked in we saw the bar was completely full, we told the hostess we were just going to have some drinks. Stood there for almost 10 minutes, although there were 4 girls behind the bar talking to each other, not one greeted us or asked what we wanted, so we just walked out. Incredibly poor service. Just another overpriced bar looking to turn a maximum profit on you. We were told a 30 minute wait on a busy Saturday night, but after 60 minutes and several groups that came in after getting seated before ours, I inquired as to why. They said they give preference to larger groups, even when there was only 1 more person in that group. Profit over pride and respect for their patrons. Howie's was an amazing place. It was very busy but it was Friday so we expected that. They told us 20-30 minute wait and we only waited about 15 minutes. highly recommend the bacon bombs!! Our waitress was awesome and service was fast!! We were also able to purchase the bar glasses for $2 as souvenirs Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
