Local iconic Mexican food restaurant in town that does not disappoint!! By far the best breakfast tacos and tea (that's important in the Hill Country). The rest of the menu is just as good! If you want authentic Mexican food with great customer service, Hilda's is the place to go. And, the outside cantina being built just in time for spring/summer should be an added bonus! We visit the area every few months, but this is our first time visiting Hilda's.... and it won't be our last. We are so glad we found this place. Service was wonderful. Food is really good, and the portion sizes are very large. We really enjoyed our breakfast. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Fredericksburg. This is a local place we found the first time visiting Fredericksburg. They have homemade tortillas and give you a big portion of food. We really enjoy visiting here... My first time here. Wanted a burrito to go. Asked if I could get a specialty made, was told it would be a long wait. So opted out to a bean and beef burrito. That had no flavor yo it what so ever. As I was paying a worker walked up to the window. Ordered 3 bacon potato and egg burritos. But I couldn't, I will never come here again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Got a Super Burrito, and a Shredded Chicken Quesiadilla. Couldn't put the burrito down just kept eating and didn't want to stop. Super Burrito is Super Delicious. Not a huge fan of refried beans but with this Burrito I didn't care nor did I want to take them out. The Quesiadilla is a healthy 8-in size and is FULL so they don't skimp out on any of it. We will add this one to the list of places we MUST visit every trip! We had breakfast, everything was delicious. The chips are warm and crispy, and the queso was flavorful and full of peppers and onions. We has migas with bacon and migas whit chorizo and both were excellent and huge servings. We ate less than half the plate. Service was excellent and everything was fresh. The tea and sweet tea were perfect! And the ladies restroom was clean and even smelled freshly cleaned. Very impressive, this will go on the MUST VISIT EVERY TRIP list. It is just South of town, about a block off the highway, but worth the trip. Great experience, food and hospitality. Me and my husband were greeted at the door and were helped very quickly. This review is long overdue! We have been frequenting Hilda’s for about a year now. The breakfast is my favorite meal for sure, the huevos divorciados is my fave! The hubby usually gets barbacoa and the taco is really the size of a burrito, so one is plenty. We have now had dinner a few times, crispy tacos were good, the gordita takes a knife and fork to eat and had flavorful shredded chicken. This last go round I had the fish tacos, they were nothing spectacular but not bad either. Husband had the carne asada tacos and loved them! The chips, salsa and tortillas are really THE STARS of this place! We always get an order of these to go, do not skip out!
